Longboarding help

I know most of you ride, so I wanted to get your input. What are the best wheels and bearings? My wheels are getting to that point that I need to change them soon, and I might as well get some new bearings. Also if there's a website you recommend that has some great deals. Help me out please.
 
Uhh, dude would help if you said something about your riding style, do yo want hard wheels for sliding or more soft wheels? On my dervish i am using some ABEC11 Gumballs 81A and i think around 76 mm, I am happy with them but really depends on what you are looking for tho. When it comes to bearings bones reds are pretty sweet, but hey just look around what fits your price range.
 
^This. In reality I think super expensive bearings are kinda waste of money. I'm not doing any racing so it's similar to perfectly waxed skis.

Wheels are really a personal preference. I ride a 83a for my slide/freerdie board and a 80a and below for the rest of my cruisers/transportation boards.
 
i'm gonna tell you straight up, if you learn to ride on the shittiest board, and you ride that thing until it is completely toast, and THEN spend money on a good board, you will show up every fucking tard who started out on a $400 board. so just buy a sector 9 and put reds on it and your wheels don't fucking matter (people say they do but that's only because they suck at longboarding) and get started. when your deck is cracked and held together with ducttape and the wheels are worn down and the balls are falling out of your bearings and your trucks are bent then you can start worrying about building a good setup. the best advice i can give you is to not be a pussy, if you find yourself at the top of a hill that you think is sketchy, them bomb it, and if you fall, just don't fall on your head (unless you're wearing a helmet, like a pussy, then go ahead, land on your head, whatever).
 
This, except fuck you and your lack of helmet suggestion. I personally have been saved by my helmet and it is a terrifying experience. I just slipped out of a full coleman slide and my head hit a curb that I ragdolled into. Wear a damn helmet, its as, if not more, important as wearing one skiing.
