Long shot for topsheet....but would it work?

if i just polyurathaned a sheet of plywood with like 20 coats and really thick, would that work as a box topsheet

It could work but its a strech. the urethane would probably wear really easy

in the winter if u wet it and it probly wont last long

Sand down the edges in case it warps and go for it. If its bolted down good it should work for a while. Eventualy you'll wear down the poly but if its free go for it.
