Logic?

so i was fairly decided that i was going to get AR7s this year, but then i started thinking, would there be some logic to getting say masterminds or a similarly light/cheap ski, which are better for learning new tricks/progressing, until such times as I'm sure I'm not going to grow out of them/am actually good at skiing? Or should i just get AR7s.thanks +K

I bought cheaper skis cuz I know I'm still growing, and will most likely spend more on park skis once I'm done growing and a better skier. So yeah id go with that

bump

so my parents have decided that 750$ is too much to spend on a pair of skis...

which means i need some versatile allmountain/park skis for under 500$

still considering masterminds because they're so damn cheap.

thoughts?

get something really cheap honestly i dont see the point in buying expensive skis because although they will be better for a short amount of time no matter how nice they are theyll break within a couple months, at least for me. im 6'2" and 185 lbs and ski rails all day erryday though so that obviously makes a difference but i just cant justify dropping $500 or more on skis that ill beat the shit out of in half a season

So then I guess DPS and PMgear are out of the question then...
Take a look at the atomic punx, retailing for $400. Or if you're after something that will be better as an all mountain ski, the K2 Recoil and Line Stepup and Rossignol Scimitar and Surface Double Time and Salomon Pro Pipe skis are all super cheap (under/around $300) in the Evo outlet in all sizes right now.

Moral of the story: Look in the Evo outlet for all your wildest dreams. geartrade.com has some really good deals too.
Your welcome,

if you really want the AR7 that much, see if you can negotiate a deal in which you pay $250 and they pay $500

I got K2 domains and STH 12s for the same price as the AR7s alone, pretty stoked.

figured that i might as well experiment with a little bit of rocker and wider underfoot before spending that much on AR7s.

+k to everyone in this thread thanks for the help

Awww was gonna say see if you can get last years nothing's changed but still a Schweitzer setup

another option would be getting a really expensive nice pair that is last years model so you pay much much less
