Local Mountain Not Open

Anyone else experiencing a drought at the local hill? I ride Summit at Snoqualmie and it really bums me out to see rain in the forecast and never any snow. How are you dealing with the drought or rain? I know my mountain hooked season pass holders up on some deals on some mountains near by but still a bummer.

I hear the Summit staff were out with weed-eaters last week. Hopefully you will get enough snow this week for a limited opening. I've been fortunate enough to ski Timberline on the regular since Oct. 11th. I'm praying for snow but not going to pass up Palmer laps if we get stuck with more of the same.

Mount Washington on Vancouver Island isn't open yet either, hopefully they get enough this week to open soon though.

I ski there also and I kinda doubt they will even open this month, weather isn't looking that great, but you never know

My local hill is closed due to dangerous windchills for the next 2 days haha I think it's just so the owners can shred the foot we got her in Michigan.

I couldn't imagine the East not having snowmaking. Killington since late October and skiing in New Jersey well before Christmas. /claim. but snowmaking has helped significantly with these warm rainy spouts after snowstorms..

We have 2 snow making machines I believe, the only time I've ever seen them in use is to help get the large jump line open.
