It's a quick hop across the border for me but I've only been there a couple times. Super fun little hill.

For anyone interested in what went wrong mechanically. Retaining pin mysteriously disappeared and then the hanger slid off the grip.

Holy christ I remember about 10 years ago one of their other chairs derailed and a few people got badly injured.

Small mountain I use to ski as a kid, it was common that the padded seat for the chair would come off while sitting on them. They would flip up these padded seats at closing and at the start of the the day flip them down. Well, if they flipped them down to hard they would come apart at the hinges so when you would sit on them they would slide out from under you causing the rider to fall out of the chair. Seen it about 3-4 times before they changed their ways.

Happened at St Anton (zammermoos chair) in Austria last season during very windy conditions. Chair was closed at the time so no one on it.

The cable came of the bullwheel very briefly on the oldest (and sketchiest) lift at my local. thankfully it fixed itself and nobody got hurt.
