So I recently entered into LJ Strenio's Re-Edit Contest, and was hoping some of you beautiful human beings could check out my work and critique it! Didn't get to spend as much time on it as I would've liked and it's a little heavy on the effects, but I wanted it to stand out.

Pretty sweet and very unique, but get rid of the pixelation on the people. That shit almost made my eyes bleed. Consider taking the video game part out as well, that was weird and unnecessary.
 
If you dont win I'm gonna be pretty upset. Every other person has just does a normal edit, you actually did something different, nice work dude.

That was awesome I wouldn't worry about changing it much its great. If this doesn't get picked I am sure you will get an honarable mention or something.

One of the reasons I chose to pixelate the people is because I could do a complete hack job of masking them and just slap a mosaic filter on it. It is a bit harsh in some places though, thanks for the honest opinion!

AE CS4. I've got premiere pro as well, but the pre 2009 laptop I'm using can't handle the draft previews so there was a bit of difficulty sorting out the clips.

Yeah sorry guys, and OP especially. It was 1am and I posted that in the middle of cramming for exams.. I certainly did miss the point and was very ignorant to the whats actually goin on here. I certainly didn't mean to come of harsh but I was admittedly a bit fried when I posted this.

Next time, I'm gonna stick to only posting shit when my mind is actually running straight and not at 1/4 capacity, and stay off of anything video related. I don't know and haven't seen enough in that realm to contribute any quality advice!

I apologize, and as enlightened above this is actually a really, really dope edit and should win. Now that I think of it, this must have taken forever!

It's not necessary to drag something obscure from the woods, it's just that that song is similar to using Sail for Basejump/wingsuit videos and hey I liked the rest of it.

This thing ate up my weekends, for the first week and a half whenever I had some freetime I was working on it. Kinda tapered out after that, avoided it for a couple of days so I could come back and see what parts sucked so I could get rid of them

I didn't think you were harsh at all, I meant that the 8-bit effect came off as a bit harsh at times. Probs could've worded that a little better, my bad XD. If anything, I think the way you were received afterwards was harsh, I liked the fact that you were so upfront about what you thought at the time even if you were completely fried. Good luck on your exams!

That's a good point, I started to hate that song. Glad you liked the video!

Everyone's comments have been putting me through the fucking roof, I've been pretty much floating for the past couple of days. And fucking Saga has commented on the video now and I have no clue how to respond. You guys are so goddamn awesome
