LJ Strenio returning to "amateur status"

I hope he fully focuses on his career because that’s what’s important 20 years from now. I’m actually happy that he’s switching industries since a lot of skiers don’t have a plan for after they can’t really ski professionally anymore. This is a good thing.

LJ is such a boss. First discovered him and the Meathead crew when I was in high school (2004-2007) to Level 1, TTC, PBP, and everything else he touched. Always one of my favorites and always having a good time.

Stoked for LJ. Sad for TC episodes when he’s not in them. With everything he’s done on TC, and for the brand of Line, he should have a lifetime supply of free skis and gear and food and whatever the heck he wants from them haha

Was talking to LJ a few years back about his pursuit of a CS degree but hadn't seen him post anything about it since so wasn't sure if he was still going for it or no. So dope to see him complete it. As a fellow CS major/full time software engineer its awesome seeing such a big name in skiing (and my favorite skier ever) enter the industry. If all goes well this should set him up for a long, successful career. I wish him the best!

LJ is absolutely one of the best dudes and extremely smart. Talking and skiing with him over the years when they would roll through MN, it was always so enjoyable to talk with him about skiing, careers, etc. Not to mention the man is cracked on skis...

One of my all time favorite skiers. Was actually introduced via Revolver (first ski flick I ever saw) and was hooked on that street segment. IMO the most well rounded skier out of the TC crew.

Also..

LJ if you ever land the snowboard double-backflip PLEASE post it somewhere. Not sure if I've ever been as invested in someone idk landing a trick haha.

Ya its been in a few different episodes (particularly one from last season where it shows a bunch of his attempts) and he's also posted some stuff on the gram about it I think. He's put it to feet a bunch, but I dont think he's actually landed it yet. I just thought it was really cool for them to put something in that is purely for the passion and was interesting to see someone so talented struggling with something.

that's sick, i'll look for some of the attempt videos, thanks

anyway huge respect to LJ, such a cool talented guy. first time i saw him was like 2005 or so at waterville and he did a sw rodeo 7 over me and he seemed so friendly and positive chatting in the drop line. such a trip to think how much insane content he's produced since then. wish him the best for sure

this shit dropped in early season 2008-09 and actually changed my life. Thanks LJ, for meatheads, TC, pbp, real ski, good company and every other time you dedicated yourself to skiing and shared it with all of us.

He’s not getting out of filming for TC that easy. Don’t worry about it.
