/static/images/flash_video_placeholder.pngAt 2:22, he is wearing black and white skis, like Wallisch who is getting a pro model from Scott. Is LJ getting one from LINE?

some companies give their riders "tester skis" that are all white and blank to see what they think of them when they are new, or if they dont have a graphic decided yet or just dont want the public to know what they look like yet, you always see them on hood

i'd say lj is more than halfway decent. but this speaks truth, not everyone needs a pro model

i saw LJ when i was at hood in the lift line, didnt look at his skis because i dont care because i am no longer 13

no not really, i hate the celebrity status that is attributed to pro park skiers, just a bunch of normal guys smoking weed and skiing all the time and being really good at it

I'm amazed at the number of people that completely missed the point I was making. The intent wasn't to say that LJ is only halfway decent. What I'm saying is, I don't think every professional needs/deserves to have their name on a ski.

haha kids would buy that just because it has his name on it.... no need for real graphics just write him name on them and they are set to sell

tom's earned it, he's put out good video parts and been a big name for a while name. lj is a damn good skier but i dont think he's really earned it yet...

In tc lj and the crew went into line hq and lj showed them his 141 pro model with electromagnetic technology to help lock onto rails. Good stuff

i lost.

Its a great way to make more money. LJ according to one of the more recent Traveling Circus episodes, has been living in a basement. A little more money couldn't hurt.

you know, i was just fucking thinking that. Like as far as progression goes, I think TWall has made the least...Duh hes an excellent skier, but he came on the scene super good, his strengths being spinning on rails IMO, and hes still really good at that, but I just dont see him blowing me away with much else... Just dont see him switching his game up much. Dunno, guess its tough to explain in writing.... bring on the hate i guess.

Ljs pro mod is a more advanced version of stepup I believe. It wasn't released to public because they felt it was misadveryised I guess

He just hasn't done anything rail-wise in his edits/film sections that have made me double take. All I see is 2 in pretzel out, k-fed or super-fed... I just feel like someone at his skill level could bring more at this point.
Something like Integrating taps, deadlungs, etc. into his rail repetoir.. I guess all the skiers I enjoy watching now are doing different stuff, and he's doing pretzels.

I was just going to post this.

Really, what more can you ask for. He's done all of the tricks he did in Superunknown, but infinitely smoother and on urban rails.

Coincindentally, I've only seen two people EVER do that switch tips down 270 onto a rail (see edit).. Tom and LJ.

This. Im not doubting lj and whether he deserves a pro ski but surely rather than go on a goose chase about that would it not make sense that he was just testing out the 12/13 stepup and they want to keep people stoked on the release of them by hiding the graphic.

You're talking about LJ, I'm talking about Tom.

And yes, the switch 2 on tip drops are sick. So was his 2 on pretzel misty/rodeo/wtv out.

Anyway, this is pointless to argue, I just find he hasn't taken his rail game in a more creative direction, just added more rotations to it if anything.

By all means disagree, I have no problems with that.

^the spinny rail game doesn't have far to go... and he hasn't really done anything with style either. granted, the meaning of style has changed from landing good.

^^ in one of the traveling circuses LJ introduced it and said it was for urban stuff and supposed to be small like 110cm i think(?), too
