Living 3 Hours from skiing

It sucks I can only ski every weekend if I'm lucky. I've managed to get decent at skiing Switch 7s, Mute 7s, Rodeo 5s, and cork 5s are a few of my best tricks. I have the drive and desire to go pro but I know I can't do that living 3 hours from skiing, Your thoughts? What should I do?

Claim pretty hard that helps.....

Ahaha jokes aside man, that sucks, and I'm in the same boat as you. This winter is bunk for this to, but in town we have a toboggan hill that gets light up at night. Usually build a mini kicker there, just to mess around on. Keeps you sharp for your days at the hill, and gives you the opportunity to ski daily, but because this winter is so dry, that hasn't happened. If you have some snow, there is likley to be a sloped area around town so it's doable, either that or make yourself a little rail setup, there are plenty of threads on building backyard setups. Good luck with your quest bro.

Ok now I regret posting to trying and contribute. OP is twelve and thinking about moving to a pro status..... Would you like that orange name tonight????

You will have to move closer to skiing. If you really want to go pro, make it happen!

I live 3 hours fron skiing now and almost never go. When I lived 20mins from skiing I went everyday...

i live 3 hours from my mountain and i've been up 4 times this year because i work and have school. go fuck yourself

I live three hours away from my hill and where I live there never is ever any snow in the winter and I only can get up around 7 times a year, I'm lucky if I can go two weekends in a row.

I am 2 hours away from any hill. And I only get out at the most 7 times a year as well. I wish I could get out more because I know I would progress so much but every time I learn something I lose it because I dont ski for another three weeks :(

well, theres just one answer to that question, train, and train hard. If you're not progressing your not havin a good time.

i live 3.5 hours away from the mountain I ski and work at on the weekends, I am a full time student during the week and have skied 42 days this year /claim not including backyard/summer sessions which are more than I can count (and haven't kept track of)..

if you want to do it, you will do it

If you really want to go pro then find a way. Look into something like windells academy or other skiing related schools.

this, so hard, ski as much as you can now before you have to get a job and have responsibilities.

this. i ski 5 or 6 times a year if im lucky. and the past two seasons i have been out with injuries. i havent skied since january '11

Ahhh no way Sierraaaa haha. Theres another 12 year old there who is pretty bossy but I see him every time I am up so that probably isnt you since I make it up at least once a week.
