Im looking at all four skis in the live life series. I want a ski that can charge, Float, Jib, and shred/carve groomers, ski taos. Im 5'9 145-160 lbs. im really only looking at the surface live life series. Mad karma for help

im 5 10 and 145 im on the LL2 and LOVING them... they are a soft snow ski for sure if you want to do everything i would get the 189 LL1 and mount it 1/2 back from center the smaller amount of rocker will make it quite a bit more versatile! you will not be disapointed they are the funnest ski i have ever been on!

Both skis in the live life series are certainly suited for ripping cliffs/trees/pow/ and anything else Taos has to offer....Given that the LL1 has a half rockered tip, these are your skis if you are looking to shred the entire mountain with straight airs, 3z, and anything else where you land forward. Although it's not listed on the website, the production run of the LL1 has a semi-rockered tail as well. This is especially enjoyable on those deep days when your ski sinks, then pops you back to the top of the snow.

Although the LL1 will take you everywhere you want to go and allow you to explore the entire mountain, I personally enjoy the LL2 a little more for the following reasons:

1) the 3-stage rocker is hotter than modeling shots of Megan Fox

2) riding switch & forward feels equally as fresh and has the potential to challenge your creativity

3) skiing backwards impresses the ladies, even if they don't mention it

4) the orange base graphic pops on film, and even if you're shooting home movies, Grandma will know your skis are baller

5) switch in pow is the new iPhone, Don't be left out

6) the 3-stage rocker allows you to enjoy the full effects on a snow day even when it's not that deep.

7) on the deepest of days, you can stomp switch landings and float through trails with the greatest of ease.

8) Rare breeds of polar bears and the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) officially endorse this ski [see Jeff Kiesel for further details]

Getsome

saw Malone riding the live life limited skis in mammoth last spring and am thinking about getting a pair for pow. what's good with them? what's bad? should I just get a pair of the regular 08/09 life series instead?

yo! i'm 6'1, 180lbs, currently on the LL2s mounted dead center. I fucking love these skis. I live/ski at Vail and they have been a blast to ski, everywhere. They've definitely boosted my confidence. Switch pow shit is soooooo much fun with this 3-stage rocker. Sent some pretty big booters with them and they land solid, 7s were no problem (though 5s/9s are now wayyy more fun everywhere). Tight trees have not been a problem. They're even fun on groomers. Buy them. Oh yea, everyone and their mother will be asking you what's up with them or (my favorite) "are your skis broken?"
