Little landis' interview

wow. he is a great writer!
probably one of my favorite NS members though... i'm always stoked to see his videos which are unreal.

Though it may seem, and be for that matter, naive and assuming, i respect Landis Tanaka, or rather his personified username, much more than i do most adults i encounter. Not only does the kid shred everything and film even better to boot, but he is quite possibly the most level-headed 17 year old that i have come across but not yet met. Although the statement may seem vague, it is an enormous compliment from my standpoint. Keep it up Landis, dont fret the hate and you will go far.

fortunetly your not the person who decides who gets sponsored or not. and with a judgemental attitude like that you'll never get anywhere in the ski industry...keep up the hate man, people will respect you more and think your a better skier than everyone else

they also did an interview with zeal optics! neato...

also asked the same question twice..

doood how did you know i ate stirfry today???!! it was delish sweet and sour chicken stirfry on a delicious bed of japanese white rice.....ooohhh sooo AZN...kita kita

ohhh meng....you soooo bad asss.

seriousry, i rove every singre edit you have, it makes me want to go out and just dick around. its berry berry exirirating

If your not calling him out why even post it? What do you know about being a sponsored athlete? Obviously nothing... it takes more than being able to do doubles, sw 10's and a million pretz...

Also someone else said that this was going to turn into a large hate thread?

Regardless on a more positive note, I've had a great response from athletes to companies including: Zeal Optics, Dos Media, Honey Stinger Energy Bars, Surface Skis, Empire, Nike 6.0, Gus Kenworthy, Michelle Parker, Szczepan Karpiel, Cedric Tremblay-Fournier, Josh Bryant, Steven Larick, Bobby Brown, Will Berman, Landis Tanaka, Matt Philippi, Tim Durtchi, Jon Brogan, Luke Tanaka, J.D. .... Riley Poor on behalf of Simon, TJ, Sammy.... I mean TONS there are so many more I'm sorry if I left you out but its still early in the morning.

I had created another thread asking for any interested skiers and or companies. I'm still looking for athletes and companies! Shoot me a pm or email me if your intereted.

I'm trying to bring the skiing community together and learn more about profesional athletes and companies, what makes them... them. At the same time I would like to list up amature athletes so others can read about them and the can become discovered.

I'd love to hear NS feedback and see what you guys thing or who you'd like to read about. Any support is greatly appreciated!

I think style isn’t how to dress or what kind of music you listen to, but how you present yourself to the world through your actions. Life is a big canvas; there is no "right" way to paint your picture.

Right on man - great interview

i can smell the HENNESSY! through the computer!
just kidding, but if you could smell things through the computer itd be almost as cool as if you could take things from the computer but thats too risky just ask mike teevee he got shrunk when he got sent through wonka's television sender thingy.
did they interview this guy from zeal optics? i didnt check, but im just hoping!

if you open up the link provided for landis' interview and scroll down past his then you will find the zeal optics interview.

Kid can write?

I'm sorry but that interview was full of pretentious misuse of words.

Trying to act smart Landis? Maybe you need to read over your thesarus and verify that the words you're trying to replace are appropriate for the context of your response.

Not hating or anything, but I mean, c'mon!

for real, i really respect Tanaka on the NS scene because he seems to be a really upbeat guy and he has a huge talent for film...but I was reading this and thinking "ahhhhhh, this is getting a little out of hand..." then he blatantly misused the word "avid" and name-dropped Copernicus back to back. i dont want to be a prick or anything, but he really does come off like he thinks he's super-hot shit...not really because of any one thing he says, but because of how he says it.
he's right though, hating is gay, so i dunno how i feel about this post...

well it's kind of inevitable there'd be hate but i enjoyed the interview and im stoked there's a half asian slaying snow

plus that slandis is going to have a killer college essay haha

alright, i didnt reread the article before i wrote this, but i think you said something like "the town becomes avid with hippies" or something like that...youre using the word "avid" like "overrun" or "infested" or something like that...it just doesnt work.
that's all i had to say though, i dont want to drag this out. like i say dude, i respect you more than 99% of the people on this site, i just wasnt too stoked on the way you executed that interview. but i just want to reiterate that my opinion is just as meaningless as anyone else's as long as you're happy with it dude. keep on doing what you do.

No worries man. A few of my words were replaced/edited here or there, but there's no point in splitting hairs.

I'll shut the fuck up when I have nothing substantive to interject. For now, you know I'm right, so find someone else to harrass.

alright, as i was reading i caught a few interesting points....

filming is without bias? im sorry but i disagree..."the way i see it" thats a line straight from you talking about how you make your videos...the way you see it is with your outlooks, views, beliefs and all that jazz imbedded into it...with all of those things equaling up, its just silly to try and say its without bias.
No matter what sick event is going down, be it a competition, trade show, or movie premiere, we as Alaskans must accept the fact that, for the time being, we will not be able to be a part of it the finals of the freesking nationals were at alyaska...does that not count as a contest?

call out tom as a scenester? when youre the one proably riding around in your tight pants and fixie claiming life is a canvas? your the goddamn scenester bud. im stoked youre going to see the "big world" out there...hopefully itll give you a swift kick in the ass and realize its time to get of this some sort of highchair youve set up for yourself.

alright bud, this might have come off a little harsh. i was there with you that day at alta with your pops, he killed it on that drop! BUT there was a few things that i noticed during that piece that just slightly struck me as silly. your edits and everything are sick, dont get me wrong youve got talent for sure...take this as a piece of that wide world waiting for you once you leave alaska.
