Little bro in USA TODAY

A little over a year ago my younger brother Cole was hit in the head by a baseball while pitching that was traveling at 100 MP. He spent 60 days in the hospital recovering from two brain surgeries and went through 8 hour therapy sessions every day. The first surgery was to remove 25% of his skull to relieve the pressure off of his brain and the second was to put the skull back into place. He has come a long way and I thought an article in the national news about him is pretty awesome. Here it is-

++VIBES to your bro.. mant thats why i could never make it in baseball, i was to scared of getting hit in the face. i was pretty good and probably could have played in college had a tried but as I got older and started seeing faster and faster pitches I got scared shitless.
 
man that's intense. Glad he's recovering well and I hope things only improve for him and your family. Read the part about the medical bills-it's good to see insurance paying out and hopefully lifting a burden on your family. Wish you guys the best
 
wow, good thing he getting better. I heard about your brother many times because im a pitcher and he comes up when there is a close call or someone is hit pitching. But thank god he is alright

Gunner Sandberg, the kid in the second picture is a good friend of my younger brother. Small world, eh? Tough story and vibes to you bro and Gunnar...metal bats should be banned, wood is baseball and should be introduced to kids at a young age so stuff like this doesnt happen.

I dunno how pitchers do it. Your standing right of a guy smashing a ball at you. Don't really get the respect they deserve. Hope your brother gets better though.
