Liners

okay so I have some cold ass feet when i ski.. i am thinking it is due to poor circulation and what not but i alos heard that spk's are cold toe. So i was wondering if anyone put different liners into their spk's and weather it is a good idea or not. I was looking into zipfit.. Please help

I really wanna try putting those ID liners in my spk shells... good question has anyone tried different liners?

get thin wool socks, make sure the boot fits and you are cranking the buckles super hard, dry out your liners, blah blah blah. all good ideas but...

the most common thing i found when fiiting the SPKs is that it has a very low instep, right in front of the ankle on top of your foot. Do you notice any pressure marks there? A lot of the time all you have to do is get a good bootfitter to grind a small spot out of the edge of the white shell, just as it overlaps on the black tongue. The bootfitter will line everything up and make sure he is grinding the right spot.

This is obviously an assumption, but could very well be the problem. The boot is biting the top of your foot and cutting of the blood flow to your toes

see i got bootfitted and the spk fit my foot best but i have cold feet due to the spk being a cold boot so this kid prob has the same problem as most of us

really....dang i didnt know that.

if your bein serious, thanks for the tip bro

so do you just add some cayene to whatever you eat for breakfast or what?

for real you sprinkle some in your socks, it does something to increase the flow of your capillaries if i am not mistaken

Yeah, seriously. My boss when I worked in BC swore by it. And true enough, if I ever chugged a Red Bull in the morning my fingers and toes were freezing. And if I ever get customers who complain about cold toes the first thing I ask them is if they drink coffee on a ski day. A lot of the time they do. I was told just to put cayene in with your breakfast but my cirulation isn't bad enough to try it, probably best with a hot cooked breakfast taste-wise but bacon and pancakes isn't really energy food for a day's riding. Have a search on Google for circulation, caffeine, cayene and you might get some tips.

yea, cayenne pepper is a good temporary cheap solution. for liners the intuition liners are warm as fuck, and real comfy

Caffeine is a type of molecule called a "methyl zanthine," or, a "phosphodiesterase inhibitor." Caffeine inhibits this enzyme that is responsible for deactivating Cyclic AMP. Cyclin AMP is a molecule inside your cells that releases stored Calcium. In muscle cells, higher levels of Calcium help make contractions stronger. So, when you drink caffeine, you stop your body from removing Calcium from the tiny muscles that surround your blood vessels, and those muscles get really tight around the vessels so less blood can flow.

You're welcome!

doesnt the cayenne make your feet itch so your fett circulate better?? i might not be able to stand the itching.

is the itching bad??

Itching does not improve your circulation. It is the result of released Histamine molecules binding your nerve endings, has nothing to do with blood flow.
