^^^Actually "peak season for ski sales" has NOTHING to do with production or the actual ski company. Skis are sold to ski shops in the spring (actually next week at SIA) as pre-orders. These pre-orders are guarantees from ski shops that they will purchase X amount of product. Until the direct sale revolution hits the ski industry (and puts alot of cool people out of business) ALL orders and sales will be done in such a fashion. LINE, like any other company does not care about idnividual stores and their issues (that is the local sales rep's concern). Rather, the ski company's sole purpose is the research, development, production and distribution of their product....
Don't think to hard or care too much about what one shop is doing or what a web-site is or is not doing, because none of that really matters in the "big picture" of things....
