Line Wallisch - Where to mount them.

I'm gonna be using these purely for park. The recommended is -3 as they're a directional ski. Has anyone got them further forward or centre mounted? If so how do they ride?

Like any directional ski, it's going to be easier to pivot more forward but less stable. Go the recommended -3cm or maybe -2cm at the most. The roof box review on this site said the following-

"A large factor in how well they perform out of the park is Tom's mount point choice. His preferred choice for the ski is -3cm from center and this is where I skied them for the majority of the test. For a park ski this may sound strange not to just center, but this is a directional ski so is not optimized to be centered. I did try them centered in the park and yes they did feel a bit more fun on jibs and rails but the carving performance was affected. Yes center may be the go too for most of NS but there is something to be said for mounting a ski closer to where the recommended line is, and hey who are we to argue with Wallisch.

If you're going purely for park, center. I know what the roof box said, and that was purely outside the park. If you're strictly rising park, you won't need really the carving ability at -2 or -3.

Isn't Wallisch strictly skiing park and urban?

If he mounts his skis at -3 to do that and say that's how his pro-model is ridden the best, I don't see why anyone else would think center mount is "better" for the exact same purpose.

If you only ever plan to ride in the park and most of the park stuff you do its rails and jibs center is fine. If you plan on hitting bigger jumps however mount them a little back. They ride so much better back from center so carving off takeoffs will be way improved with a non center mount. On jibs though I did like center so weigh up what you plan on doing in the park the most

That was my thought. Maybe if you are hitting a 100 foot step down you need to be able to haul ass with confidence.
