Line Traveling Circus vs. Armada Al Dente

Hey NS,

I was just curious if you guys have any opinions on either ski. I am looking to purchase a new pair of skis and cross over from my Afterbangs at the end of this season/in the summer. I know they are two different pair of skis and both have their pros/cons, but any insight would be appreciated. One Love!

i own both. both are soft but the armada has more snap and return, a more active core. tc feels more like a classic park ski. its stumpy and fun. dente is totally out of the box, and its lighter. both are easy to butter.

Very different skis. The al dente is significantly stiffer than the tc and has more rocker (i beleive the TC has a little rocker in the tip and tail, correct me if im wrong), and the al dente is wider. Basically the al dente is a bit more of an all mountain ski although it does kill it in the park. The main factor id encourage you to consider is the base material of each ski. The al dente has a fast sintered base while the TC has a slower extruded base. If speed is an issue for you id go with the al dente.

it is actually traditional camber. basically the exact same ski as the original anthem. they mightve switched some small things around

very small picture:

Pretty differnt skis. The TC is a very soft capped jib ski. It's cap so it does not carve well but is very buttery but is not super durable again due to the cap construction. The base is slow too so overall probably forget about the TC.

The al dente in comparison is a soft all mnt ski. It ha a long nose rocker with a soft flex. Underfoot and tail are mid flex so you can still carve hard on them. You do need to upsize though so it's not going to be great in te park in a long size.

What are you actually looking for in a ski?

I find The Traveling Circus to be slightly more entertaining and creative than Al Dente, although the Al Jordan episode is pretty damn good.

having skied/seen people ski on both i don't consider the dente a stiffer ski. Id say the tc is stiffer. The dente is a noodle in the nose..

The TC is a lot softer ten the al dente. Maybe not longitudinal but certainly torsionally. The TC is a full cap ski which means it flexes a lot in all directions. This means it can't really hook up an edge

The al dente in compassion uses a 50 50 sidewall and a stiffer flex generally.

Line Travelling Circus vs. Armada al B & E ?

dude Armada all the way, best quality and most durable skis on the market. might be slightly more pricey but its worth it.

used to have an line skis they pretty much fell apart after a year of skiing, armada on the other hand i have still a park ski from '09 still in good shape.

Not trying to call you out but I just checked Line's website and it says the TC has a profile of 2-4-2 (Tip Early Rise-Camber-Tail Early Rise). Not much at all but it does exist.

Al dente all the way dude, its such a fun versatile ski. The TC will really limit you to only being able to do rails because it isn't stable enough for bigger things. The Al dente can handle almost anything, if its your style of ski that is.

the only trade off in this situation is the price. if youre not really worried about the price difference, go with the armada, it's not even a question

i guess i should applaud line's marketing for making people think these skis are even comparable...?
