Hey Dallan, Pollard doesn't have a problem with em cuz the dude gets a new pair every time he chips or delams them...no one would have a problem with them if they can instantly get a new one whenever they wanted.

Seward, you make a good point in that they are probably just trying to gain market share to make some more money so they can develop even more/better quality products.

In my mind, the problem with Line right now has nothing to do with their skis and how well the perform or how long they last. The problem is that they seem to be flip flopping on their target market and product placement. They used to pride themselves on being the only twin-tip-only manufacturer but now they'll have to change that. Now they're just the same as any other big company that they used to bash.

but thats just my opinion of things.

The bindings aren't as bad as you guys make them sound.

maybe i'll post a review on them.

they chip, like their skis,

they are heavy, yes, but that's because the Quickmount (i think it's dumb)

they ride nice. i like them, cuz i'm the only one who has them and they look sweet

oh and the breaks stick back by themselves so they bend too. but you bend em back.

Brody

i wont drop out of high school for skiing, mom

ok. i would have one time been all over you for dissing line. however, as much as i like my 1260s, the company itself is really starting to fade. The fact that they are making carving skis, thats so putting the nail in the coffin. i would be willing to bet that thier sales are going to drop a ton this season. why, here are some facts.

Beside the EP, all the twintip skis are the same, and that sucks. it shows they dont care as much about thier skis as much. where they do or not is different.

The carving skis take away from thier cool factor.

The new breed of skis coming out are so much better in every way. whats the new breed? skis like Armadas, Pe's, Tm's, Scratches. These skis are just better that current skis. and they are cheaper.

Lets go skiing

at the beggining, line made skiboards. skiboards, skiboards, skiboards. thats all they talked about. then what do they do? they make twintips... all they talk about is how true they are to the newschool movment, and now what do they do? they make fucking woman's carving skis. why? because they suck the hot nuts. pollard, nick, and levintal are all faggots. NO TAKE BACKS!

yeah the fact that they didnt change any of their skis and that they are now making 5 new flattails or whatever shows that their priorities are no longer in the 'newschool movement' like they so claim. i know people will say 'they just want to make more money to put into their twintips' but it looks to me like they dont give a fuck about the sport, but money. they did the same thing to snowlerblading. abandoned it when they found something that made more money. dont get me wrong, snowlerblading is gay but they should at least show some fuckin commitment to what they started and not sell out on it

i agree i got the 1260 they dont turn to good but they are fuckin awsome park skis, they chiped but its was me who did it, but i have to say that line is waiting ther time with ther stupid bindings

snowboarding sucks

dude. you can be advanced anyway you want, a switch nine is advanced, a slow one eighty is as well

shit, i landed on my head agian

line is a sell out company, and armada has only been around one year, lets see how true they stay to the game,. I mean for the first few years line stuck with one thing. I garantee you armada will expand. 4frnt is the only true hardcore company.

yeah man i think u just suck line doesnt suck, every fucking ski will break, i bet i can ride every ski there is on the market and break it, the ski doesnt suck, you do

ez girls are nice

some good points have been made

for the guy that brought up pollard not having any problems with his skis.

the guy that answer is very right, see the joy of being sponsored is that anytime you bitch about something, so little man in a business suit gives you something new and sparkely. therefore if he has the smallest problem. he will get new skis. same goes for any company though.

and i dont know if its true, but i have heard that companies beef up their skis for the pros so they dont snap them like twigs. therefore you are not buying the same skis as the pros, but just a ski that looks the same.

either way you cant compare our ability or skis to the pros cause none of us ski anywhere close to the amount that they do or do have of as crazy shit.

and for the people bringing up that all skis break that is very true.

what the most popular ski on the market today?

scratches?

soon to be trouble makers?

anyways.

i cant tell you how many pairs of scratches i have seen busted to shit. either delaming or edges falling off.

and these are the most popular skis right now, fuck despite seeing all the damage done to them i am still trying to save up for a pair.

but lets think about it this way

say one company sells 10 pairs of skis

and other like rossi sells 100

and perhaps 1 out of every 10 skis breaks

which company do you think you are going to see more busted up pairs of skis from? the company that sold 10 pairs of skis? or the one that sold 100?

if my math is correct then you will see 10 pairs of busted skis from rossi, people see this and go man those skis must be shit, ive seen 10 busted pairs come back.

my point being when line skis first came out they were pretty popular and sold lots of pairs.

lets say they sold 20,000 pairs of skis.

one out of every 10 breaks, that means 200 pairs will come back.

verses a company that only sold say 5,000 pairs of skis.

it will seem like line has more busted skis then the other company, but in actually percentage or busted to good skis, line will be the better company.

make sense?

or did i lose you on the math shit?

see threads like this disturb me. Is it a bad thing that line is trying to gain more credibility in the ski industry. They've gained a strong hold in there market and have proven time and time again how core they are. Fact of the matter is that freestyle can't support a company for very long and you'll need to branch out. So for them to make more all mountain skis is fine with me. It will encourage some parents to buy there twins for there kids, seeing that they know how to make a good all mountain would be encouraging to them.

Also ever ski breaks because we all suck, even the pros. They don't land perfect every time, we put stresses on the equipment that aren't suposto be there. I'm sure someone could make gear that won't break but I'm also positive that you wouldn't want to ride it then because it would suck hard core.

just one question, where did you guys find find out they were making 5 pairs of carving skis, i hadnt heard that till this post.

to the guy who said 4frt are the only core ski co., what are you smokin, they havent sold any skis to the public yet. plus, if my knowledge of basic econimics and human nature are correct, greed will prevail, and in a few years they will also be selling womens carving skis.
