Hello NS

So last year friend of mine bought some Step up's from Line. Model 10/11 and after like 30 days of use they lost all camber and got slightly rocker. He shipped them to line europe and they gave him 50% off for a new step up 11/12. Now the same happend again. Did this happen to somebody else? My opinion: this shouldn't happen to a ski after that short amount of time. He's an average park shredder who treats them very good!

I have to look on my harddisk perhaps I can find a picture to show.

thx.

just normally waxing, yeah hot for sure but he knows how to wax skis...

I never saw this happen to a ski before and the ski isnt that cheap...!

Yeah but it's made with that stupid wood layering tech which makes it soft and malleable. Also is he doing alot of pressing and stuff? A ski wont rocker unless it's being forced that way alot.

Same thing happened to mine (11-12) after 8 days skiing. Tails got rockered for no reason, but gotta give props to Line for warrantying that (actually got a refund).Too bad because i really liked the skis.

Here are pictures of the 10/11 model...

in Switzerland they coast about 600.- Swiss Francs. this isn't a cheap ski!

He might be over heating them, skis (especially the skate deck skis) rely a ton on the heat that is aplied to the glue holding all those layers together, that glue is hardend and softend by heat, over heating them with a waxing iron could have done it, if you look at justabut any ski right after you run an iron over it you will notice that it loses its camber, so this might be what happend, then again it could just be a defective ski because i know people with a bangs and they have no problem

I have never had this problem, but then again i only hot wax my stepups maybe twice a season cause I am almost exclusively hitting rails. maybe line will upgrade his stepups to the 11/12 model. the different tech may solve his problem.

if he was waxing them he may have left the iron in one place for to long or had it to hot or both and over time they formed a new shape over time or the stepups just suck
