LINE Skis

Cheap skis have cheap bases. The Afterbang and Mastermind use an extruded (=cheap) base, while most of the other skis use a sintered (good and fast) base.

what would you consider cheap? anything less than $300, $400? i have the abangs from 2011 and im thinking about getting the new LINE TC skis but i dont want another ski tht is high maintenance and slow.

sweet! thanks guys! the TC ski is def top 3 on my list. im still looking into some others. i have another question, i was reading this rocker article and although i somewhat understand it, i dont really know what it's advantages are for park, it sounds great for all mountain though! could someone explain how its good in park? thanks! +k!

Easy butters and makes the ski feel a lot more flex. remember if you buy it get is really big than what you are use too because it will have less contact to the snow than a regular rocker.

thanks! ^ i also read somewhere that rockered skis help to lock onto rails faster so you can start your spins faster. is that true?

not really?

most rockered park skis still have positive camber underfoot. Except for those that are flat which still won't make getting locked on any easier. Rocker can make swaps a bit easier.

Skis never really help you lock onto rails. It's you that locks onto rails.

This.

Rockered will only help you when you are doing switch up as a fully cambered ski will have their tip and tail dipped down in comparision to underfoot while a rockered ski will have the tip and tail going up rather than down if that makes sense. This enables you to be able to clear the rail without as much distance between the ski and the rail.
