Line mastermind or afterbang

hey i am either going for the line mastermind or afterbang size 177. i had the 155 afterbang last year and it was kind of heavy and stiff. i ski mostly park and about 60% rails 40% jumps. this is my first year of skiing park alot and i am an aggressive skier because i just quit racing. im 5'10 and 150 lbs. i am wondering what ski i should get because the mastermind is alot lighter then the afterbang but the mastermind doesnt have butter zones/carbon ollieband. has anyone skied the new 177 afterbang? are they more flexible then the 155s?

The Afterbang 177 at first will be stiff for about a month of riding them.... they will start to break in, the wood will soften upp... they will turn super soft.... mine are soo maxed out they have rocker in the tail from prettin to hard!

AFTERBANGS ARE NOT STIFF SKIS! first ride they wont be stiff skis. if you want a stiff ski, go for the step up.

so you had the 155's, didnt like them because they were heavy, and now want to get the same ski but bigger (and heavier)?

in my opinion they're both crap skis. the afterbang is heavy, damp, and unresponsive and the mastermind is their price point ski and will perform as such.

if your only complaint with the 155's was them being too short then the 177's would be a good choice. but considering you know you dont like them i would recommend you pick another ski.

the chronics would be my choice for you if you wanted to stay with line.

I want a cheap ski that has alot of pop and is fun to play around on and jib,so light and responsive

line chronics

moment reno jibs

k2 domains

volkl walls

on3p blue steeles

atomic punx

rossi s4

would all be better skis, although they'll all cost a bit more.

chronics - medium soft flex

reno jibs - stiff! (i own them)

domains- dont know

walls - stiff!

blue steeles - from what ive heard stiff, but you could pm Ginko or iggyskier and ask for them to be soft

punx- dont know

s4 - dont know
