ive done sum research on different skis for the next season and figured id pick up a pair of this years models while theyre on winter clearance sales. im interested in both line invaders and rossi scratch fs wrs (06/07). i wud like to know how the invaders handle considering they are center mounted? does it slow u down, carve better, cork easier, look gay lol?

and also cuz im a noob say im 5'9", 130lbs and lever 3 skier what wud be a good length? my current skis are 161. and the invaders come 161,171...and rossis 167..

go for something around 180cm since your center mounting...and scratches kill it everywhere and invaders only killed line's reputation

contrary to what everyone says that have never ridden invaders they arent half bad all mountain.i love mine all mountain i just dont like em in pow. there lots of fun in trees and groomers are fun for tricks and butters. park riding is amazing on them and lots of fun.scraths arent that bad either but not as soft. i love soft skis so id go with invaders

invaders won't perform as well all-mountain

though u may destroy them

they're really light

i really want to demo a pair though

id agree and i ride invaders...

they arnt the BEST but they arnt the WORST

i had 1080's before taht were far worse and i actually like my invaders more all mountain than my mad trix

get invaders i love mine and i ski all mountain and there really good i just dont like them for pow and mine are still holding up

alrighty thanks for the input boys. im still curious tho how the invaders handle cuz theyre center mounted eh? and ive also heard tthe invaders this year are actually pretty solid but soft and hold up much better than before

the invaders are good only park pretty much. The butter zones actually work and you can be in the lift line and just balance on the tips.

as far as performance of centered skis, say yourt skiing switch a good deal, than switch performance should be taken into account as well, in which case they are pretty good. geet the 178s as well. its a fine little ski and lots of fun.

either pair you get, be sure to get the 178versions. Centermount whichever pair you go with. and rip it up!

why does everyone say get 178s? arent park skis easier to maneuver and whip around if they are shorter....i understand that since its a centered ski that length could be an issue...but 178 seems big unless your above 6 foot, am I wrong?

i have 174 centered scratches and im 5'9 135lbs, i have 165 tms and the size doesnt bother me, its actually more fun. im planning on getting invaders and i'll for sure get the 171's. snowboarders have more fun on smaller boards, tahts the way i see it for skiing too

if you are more into the rails then get shorter skis. but if your more into the big air kinda stuff go with them being longer cause the longer the skis the easier to spin i find.
