Ok heres the deal.....i think line is an ok company.........i used to think they sucked but the chronics helped my mind out alot......but what makes me not like them is that there new binding seems......iffy........some people (everyone i know who USED TO ride them and other people in NS) say that they are always breaking and releasing randomly......then other people say its a dope binding which is super sick for everything......also there skis seem half and half......chronics= sick ........prophets=sick.........1260=horrible.....all the others are in bettween and seems somtimes dope and somtimes sucky......so tell me.....what do you think of line and how do they compare to other ski companies....let the fight begin

i fucking love line. i have a line belt buckle and the line chronics...not to mention shirts and hats. i am a massive supporter of line.....i love all of they shiz (except the 1260) their bindings need some work...yes we all know that...but give them a couaple of years to finish them upa dn the will be siiick. they need to work on the materials they use for their bindings and also the way the brake is set up so that it doesnt catch when riding/carving switch. other then that their bindings arent THAT bad.....but lets face it...the technology they are using in their bindings are the first of its kind so what do u expect a perfect product the first time around? let them work out the kinks first.... but their skis u cant say shit about.

^ i agree that they will improve on thier binding. its pretty cool technology and if they work it out it should be sweet

... and i dont like line alot but theyre cool

i have moship ti's and chronics and a pair of reactors on the chronics and i don't see me going to any other companies to buy skis for a long time.... they put all their support into freeskiing (like 4frnt, armada, liberty, etc also do) unlike other large companies that are not as concerned about freeskiing. eh they bingdings have had some problems but give them some time and i would bet they are the best jib binging on the market.

.:l[Tyler]l:.

i still don't get why everyone hates 1260's. it's kinda funny actually cuz the year before the chronic came everyone said 12's were the shit, and then this year although the ski has been stiffened up to address the one major complaint, everyone hates it. haha. just because line billed them as their second tier park ski this year doesn't mean they all of a sudden suck. all you fools paid a hundred bucks more for too-stiff heavy skis cuz line told you they were "the hot ticket"

but anyways yes line as a company is the shit. i have moships also and my elizabeths get here on wednesday.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.

The 1260 are getting old, i think they need to be replaced, or totally updated. The reactors are too new, still bugs, the best will be in two years from now , when they will have that shit down. I am a super fan of the pollards, they have always been the perfect ski for me, and i can't wait to see what the Elizzibeth's are like

Matman10: Man lat you had that 7 down but you binder poped off

Laterails:Yeah i think they aren't adjusted, or it could be the fact that all that is holding them together is one of my pubes

all us line supporters are going to come out on this one.

hey does anyone have a LINE BELT BUCKLE like i do? its like the one that jason levinthal has....

i also love line. i bought a pair of assasins (not one of the most talked about skis by every1 i kno) and i abosolutely love them. about the bindings, im with most of u guys and i bet they will be sweet in a few years. all in all tho i think line rocks

I don't know why everyone keeps calling Line a "core" company. I mean, they sell skiboards. I'd rather they sell snowboards.

--------------------------------------
'Duran Duran bought Armada, Armada bought Microsoft, Microsoft bought MSP and AOL, AOL owns Time4 which owns the MountainSportsMedia which owns SKi, Skiing and RIP Freeze... so Armada now owns McDonalds and Coke.

^ur ripping line off by saying that man. as far as i kno, they dont even really sell skiboards ne more, they definitely do sell sweet skis tho and thats y they r called a "core company"

Ski Me Blazer

line makes some of the best jibbing skis ever in my opinion but lack az little in park / pipe / all mtn

i dont have a signature

why are you still reading i said i dont have a signature

the assasins are a solid all mtn ski. i ski pretty much everything with em, crud, pow, park. groomers u name it and they handle fine

Ski Me Blazer

bindings are going to be made of better materials next year, i skied on this years and then on some prototypes and they were way better than the old ones, just give them time to figure it out, also the invaders are so fun for butters and rails and lighter than fujatives

they are getting replaced with the invaders. i got the 04-05 12's and they're just fine

If Lines didn't result in the ripping out of bindings, then I would feel more obliged to buy their products. It's a cool company, and I just love their sene of style and art, but duribility problems can be a bitch.

^Just because a couple people you know pulled their bindings out doesn't mean anything. Don't base a entire company on a couple firends who have their skis.

I agree with freeskier987 and all the other LINE supporters up there. They are an awesome company and i support them all the way.

IMO line is great. my reactors are pretty solid and didnt brake. But if they did they have that warranty.my 1260s held up pretty good. only cosmetics.

didn't line pretty much invent the twintip?

^^^^^no

i think line is prolly one of the coolest companys out there and yeah you can't blame a first year product of course its going to be faulty!

'kevin whyed nils pull you out?' 'Cuz i was touchin bitches.' 'No seriously why did he put scott in for you.' 'Scott doesn't touch bitches.'

line's are by far my favorite ski company. just because of the pure innovation that they have. they really are willing to try anything and everything. i mean the reactors, while they may have a few kinks still, are super sick and i love them, and the technology is totally new. and what about the prophets, have you ever heard of another company that makes 130mm waist skis? pure madness. as of now i have some mike nicks, and mothership flites with reactors, i'm planning on getting some chronics in the near future too. so i know i will continue to support the company.

volant 125 but thats not relavent

I have supported line since their first year making twins (still have the original center mounted white 1260's as rail skis). I've ridden like 180 days on a pair of original darksides, and they're holding up great. Back in the day they were the ONLY core company, so the choice was obvious. Now there are many others, and that's sweet, but people should at least give them that, being the original. Innovations off the top of my head: center mounting, true twins where the tail is as high as the tip, fat powder skis (mothership), really really fat powder skis (prophets), new binding release type, interchangeable binding system, riders with unique and innovative style (much of the uncrossed style of safetys and criticals came from line guys)

I'll continue to support them, but I like to hear legit reasons that people don't like to support them, besides "LINE SUCKS", so keep posting

ya screw all these haters. i got the 1260's and have been stoked on them the whole time i've had 'em. line is pushing the sport, and sure there are going to problems along the way. but to say that they suck is just plain ridiculous

its crazy to see how much they have improved over the years. thier original skis were basicly a sheet of wood with paper graphics, and now they def make some of the best skis out there. the one thing you HAVE to give credit for is thier ideas. I dont think any other ski company has come out with more new ideas in the past 7 years than line. everything from breaking the lame ass ski graphics barrier, to center mounting, and now a new binding. they are most definately good for the sport as a company

176cm of freedom on my feet

prophet 130s, elizabeth, invaders, chronics... pretty cute lineup. And to the guy who said something about bindings ripping out - its a problem with all skis, but line is the first company to put in inserts which would make that all but impossible.

my bad. i meant to ask why andrewkane thinks line is trash. i definitely dont hate line. i love line alot and they are great for the sport. and it makes u look dumb when u just say" line sucks" and dont provide a reason y

Ski Me Blazer

personally i think line makes some very good skis.

the chronics are a great ski, the invaders are a great ski, and there is the prophers are well. Skogens arent bad either. They may not be as durable as k2 or some other skis out there, but they are lighter. For their weight, i think they are more durable than others, ie liberty and ninthward.

its funny becasue there is only like 2 fucking idiots in this thread that say line is bad.....at leaset give a reason INSTEAD OF JUST"LINE IS SHIT"

DFSC-Reprsent

after three years of punishment, my second generation darksides are banged up but still going strong (except that the bases are nearly worn through to the wood). that's all i need to know about line's durability. interchangeable binding system -- greatest idea in ski bindings in recent history. of course there'll be growing pains. there will be in the development of any revolutionary product. if we could only get all manufacturers to work together on this... created and operated by skiers, huge supporter of progressive riders, sponsor of numerous comps/movies. i'll say 'line......good.'

line is good....im gonna get the invaders or the chrons....im phyched

"Holy shit, did you see that tweaked out pencil! That was insane, that guy really knows how to rip."

they had tested it for a really really long time, and i'd guess that they figured that they had pretty much all the kinks worked out, then they manufactured it and BAM whole new set of problems emerged, but there really aren't as many warranties as you'd think, jordan said that it's only a small percentage that gets warrantied. and i love mine, i havn't had problems with them

Line darksides and reactors added this year with 40 days on em.. i can't say enough good about them..

i dig line. I've got old darksides, a pair of chronics, and the reactors.

I've broken 2 pairs of reactors in 3 seasons. Both were pretty much my bad. Got the local shop to warranty the 2nd broken pair, and I've been riding them ever since. The first time I broke the prototype set, and obviously couldn't warranty that. But those lasted 2 seasons solid.

Anyway, I like line. I think they make good stuff. Would I buy something else? Depends on if Line is making what I want. But my chronics suprised me. They ride everything, and I thought they were going to be park only skis when I bought them.
