LINE Chronics VS LINE Anthems

Really been taking a keen eye to the 2013 Chronic's and the return of the Anthem. I really love LINE been riding my pair of Afterbang's for 3 seasons and counting. I'm about 5'10" and there is no doubt that I will grow before that start of next season. I weigh about 125-130 (again that could change). I like to ski park a lot and pow whenever I get that chance. I like a nice buttery ski since I come from the Afterbang. I just want to here other people opinions on the Chronic and Anthem.

Any advice it will be really helpful, thanks.

Anthem will definately be the more buttery ski, but I've ridden the chronics before, and they were great, so stable, playful and had a load of pop (and I could butter them)

i have 2010 chronics but this is only their 2nd season and they got an edge crack at end of their first but no pull out and other than that i love them

So I havent gotten new skis since 3 seasons ago. So ill probs get the Chronic and ask for the Anthems for Christmas

i dont think thats the best idea to be honest with you. you (and your parents) would be buying two extremely similar skis that just seems like a waste of money to me. I havent skied chronics, but from what i hear, they are a more jump/ all mountain ski while the anthem is more of a 100% park ski. That being said, i have anthems and i think they are fine on jumps and all over the mountain (keep in mind my mountain's biggest jump is 40 ft and the mountain itself has like 900 vertical). If you are more into all mountain cruising and jumps, go for the chronic. If you are more of a park guy who wants to butter and stuff go for the anthem. Another thing you could do if you are worried about pow and all mountain versatility is buy a park ski like the anthem, and then get a more all terrain/pow ski like the blend or bacon for christmas.

Anthems are dope, I rip mine all over the mountian. I ski park a good amount and they are great for everything I do: Jibbing as well as small to medium jumps. I also ski trees alot and they get the job done for me. They are a softer ski so going from the afterbangs is gonna be different at first but center mount them and you will be set. Also they are a wider ski so pow can be shreaded in them (im an east coast skier though)

I'm thinking of picking up next years chronics but i might look for chronic cryptonights since they are 92 or 93 underfood, similar to the anthems...

This and the post above me was very informative. K+ 10/10 for both of you. I think I might go buy the anthems then when I get the chance and take bacon's advice and buy my self a better ski for powder.
