Line Chronic Vs Invader weightwise

Invaders by a decent amount, I have the 166 chronics and 171 invaders and the invaders are definitely lighter.

It depends on what you're using them for and where you're skiing. I use my invaders much more, I also thing they're more durable, at least cosmetically, the sidewall construction loans itself to alot more chipping and slicing, my invaders look like they're in way better shape.

i would get the chronics cause they are pretty much the same weight but the chronic is wider and wider is better. plus on larger jumps the chronics will hold up better

Sometimes wider is better, but not all the time. In the park you want a light weight ski that is wide but not to wide. Depending on what your skiing i would get the invaders if your doing mostly park skiing, and if your jumping i wouldnt go above 40 footers with the invaders. The Chronics are your all terrain type ski that is more durable in the pipe and park where you could do those bigger jumps. The anthems are nice because they give you everything the invaders have but wider, which means you can hit those bigger jumps.

ok so according to this:

http://www.lineskis.com/compare/chronic

09 chronic 166 cm is 1589 grams, while the 09 invader 161 is 1546, and the 171 is 1723.

so either the dude that said his 08 chronics were heavyier than his 09 invaders is right and they lightened the 09, or his bindings were heavy. so does anyone know how heavy 08 chronics are?

alright so I used a bathroom scale to weigh my brand new chronics i got about 2495 grams per ski, but its not very accurate because when i put a 20 pound dumbell it showed as 23 lbs and a 25 pound dumbell as 28. i just subtracted 3 lbs when i weighed the skis.

so yeah i think they made the 09 chronic lighter, or my scale reading isnt accurate. can anyone confirm i want to get to the bottom of this

ignore that, i reweighed them on solid ground instead of carpet, and i got 3.5 lbs per ski which is 1587 grams for 2008 chronic 166.

ahha you certanly can go over 40 footers

I was hitting the 51 footers

i mean this is my first year skiing and i don't have anything to compare to and yes i was doing threes

But i did't face drang or anything and i landed strait on my feet

only the waist of the chronic is wider and only by 2 mm but the tip and tail of the chronics are thinner than the invader by 2 or 3 mm
