Line Blends... 178 or 185cm?

you will be perfectly fine on either. Im in the same dilemma and to keep them playful, im going with the 178. it is only 7cm but if its not needed, why get them longer?

If you ski tight woods and want to ride park with them, go shorter. if you ski glades, groomers, and pow go longer.
 
I'm about the same size as you, just a little taller. I went with a pair of 179 disorderlys for my skis. 179 should be fine, 185 would be on the long side, at least thats my opinion.
 
yeah it sorta blows when youre right in the middle of two ski lengths. you gotta remember that it's not a huge deal and unless you blow you'll handle either just fine

i'd say go with the 185 though cause that's only 5cm taller than you, and they have rocker and it's not like blends are big burly skis that are hard to handle
 
Lines measure short, so their 185 will be more like a 181/182. I would get the 185 if I were you, it will charge harder.
 
I'm 5'9" and I ride 178's and I love them to death but wish they were a tad shorter, like 175. I can see the 178's being perfect for you especially if you're done growing
 
I'd do 185 because personally if I'm in between two sizes of skis, I pick the bigger size.

My logic might not be very good but I figure I'd rather have a longer ski than one that's too short/on the edge of being too short.
 
line skis run small, blends are soft, OP is pretty heavy, since theyre blends i assume he won't only be skiing park, the rocker makes them ski even shorter... there aren't any good reasons to go shorter than his height here

not to be a dick about this but unless he reallly prefers shorter skis for some reason, or is not a proficient skier, there's no doubt he should get the 185
 
you are not being a dick at all. dont think that. you are absolutely correct. only the skier can determine their skiing ability. we are not all experts. If he is aspiring to be better, the shorter ski can help him build the confidence. The longer ski is a great choice for his weight and height given he skis aggressively and fast and off trail a lot. this being the internet, its tough for us to pinpoint his exact size without knowing exactly what he skis, what trail types, what mountains, and the snow conditions they typical encounter.
 
it sounds as though I'm trying to make exactly the same decision - I'm 5'11'', and looking to buy the blend to have fun all over the mountain (40% off piste / 40% groomed / 20% park), but the only difference is that I weigh 165 lbs (75kg) - do you guys still suggest the 185 as opposed to the 178 ? I like to ski fairly aggressively, but I'm also looking for a fun ski to play around with - thought the blend was the best choice, just stuck on size.....
 
youre the exact same height and weight as me, and i'd def get the 185. as said above, line skis measure short, rocker makes them ski even shorter, and blends arent exactly hard to handle skis. so when you think about it, it's an easy choice to use the ski that is barely taller than you and skis shorter than that, as opposed to a ski that is gonna ski like it's a full couple inches shorter
