i'm considering purchasing some line anthems, but i'm 5 foot 7 and a half, 130 pounds and still growing. The general idea i get is that i should get something around a 166, but of course they make 161's, 171's, and nothing in between. would the 171's be too long because i'm hoping to be able to use these skis for a couple of seasons

prob feel big at first, but in a couple weeks your body will get stronger and used to the ski.

I'm exactly the same size as you. I got some 07/08 171 Line Anthems a few months ago, the wolf ones, and they've come out at about 177ish. I think its because they used to measure just the ski surface that touches the snow, i.e not including the tips and tails. Is this why they're longer?
Anyway shouldn't be a problem if you get last years or this years models, i think they changed factory when they got bought by K2. This might be wrong if anyone could confirm it it would be cool.
