Lindsey Vonn wants to race against men

This is a stupid idea and will not happen.

Lindsey would finish near the bottom and look stupid for thinking she could actually compete.

Women's ski racing would be considered in a whole other league than men's, if the most dominant woman ever in the sport finished dead last or close to it in a men's race.

Men's ski racing would end up with all the blame for letting her compete and make a fool of herself and her sport.

I think the differences in the levels of men's and women's sport in skiing and many others are not because of genetic/physiological disadvantages or limitations but rather because of how competitive and progressive the sport is. For most sports, men have been competing and progressing and being pushed to the limits for far longer (and a much higher number of men competing). Each year records are broken and athletes reach new heights in performance. Women are able to break men's records in many cases, but have just always been playing catch up. For example, the woman's world record for the 100m dash might be better than the men's record from 50 years ago (this is made up, and is probably not true, but I hope you get the point). Things like that lead me to believe that the differences in athletic ability are not due to genetic/physiological limitations or disadvantages, but mainly due to men's sports having been around longer and having become more competitive as a result.
 
let her do a nor-am...then she's not encroaching on the egos of the lesser FIS guys but still could compete against men.
 
I don't think that is the point. So what if men could go into a women's race. They would most likely tear it up, Lindsey Vonn is the best in the female racing world. Why not give her a shot to race with the big boys. I think she deserves it and I honestly would like to see her beat some of them. They already have some races for both sexes.
 
she would get smoked by 3 seconds out of even the top 30 easy. best part of this entire thread is people fail to forget that this course is at Lake Fucking Louise! Arguably the flattest and easiest DH course on either world cup circuit year in and year out. Imagine if this was Birds of Prey, Kitzbuhel, Wegen, etc, it would be fucking pathetic. The only reason why she asked for THIS race in particular is because she dominates the shit out of that hill, insomuch as the media refers to it as "Lake Lindsay". While I am in the camp that is basically saying, "fuck it, let her race, why not?" I just see it as a joke. And for the idiots who say she is the only one using men's fis DH skis, that is so false, Lindsay cannot and would not ever ski a minimum 215 in DH.

Get back to talking about why t-halls rasta accent is somehow stupid or washing Wallisch's balls, this isn't what NS is intended for
 
she is only doing this for attention, it is the same thing Michelle wie did (the only female golfer i know, so i guess it worked). But fact is she would get smoked and she knows that but just wants the media attention.
 
Then what's the point of even having seperate divisions? It's a timed sport anyway, she could easily compare her times on the same course without basically saying "No woman out there is worthy of the badass that is me, fuck you I'm racing dudes".
 
That's a very huge difference. It's not like we can't compare her times on the same course and know how it would end up, the whole thing is silly.
 
The point is to bring attention to women's skiing.

If she can do better than last, it means that she is still in the very top of elite men's skiers and that it's possible for women to be somewhat comparable and have a goal.

Think about men's freeride comps. The best woman probably stands 0 chance of even making it into the top 100. It's cool to watch Ingrid and Grete and Michelle and the other women that slay.... but fuck, there are so many gnarly men out there that there isn't a women that can stand a chance competing against the men.

In the park.... maybe kelly sildaru will end up killing it in a few years. But other than that, Lindsey Vonn is pretty much the only woman that has single hope of being compared to men and I think that's a good thing. It gives us hope that we can achieve some sort of awesomeness.

Do I think she will do well? No. Do I think she will come in last? No. Do I think it's a good idea? Sure.... there aren't too many sports where a woman could even be considered in the top 100. And considering she is a hot female and not all butch, I think it's great.
 
honestly ingrid could do ok in big mountain comps, she might not be able to huck in variable conditions like the men, but she holds her own as far as technical lines go. the other two girls you listed aren't even in the conversation.
 
Jon is a boss.. the guy has 9 Xgames medals.. he preety much made doubles popular , and has won big mountain comps, and had some of the best film parts ever .. hes also the no 2 rankes swedish skier on world cup I think so that means hes already qualified for the olympics.. Jon Racing isnt a joke.. the guys actually doing quite well .. hes skiing world cup, making top 30 and has won europa cups and norams..

he will make the olympics and I wouldnt be suprised to see him on a a world cup podium..sure hes not going to win the world cup title.. but hes very good at what he does.
 
sexy, SOMONE name a female skier that has boobs? or do they get them removed when they get their first set of skis
