Lincolns/rodeos

i saw another thread on rodeos the opposite way you spin, but it didnt talk about lincolns. i also didn't search so dont hate, i just figured i'd want specific advise.so i naturally spin leftside, i actually cant really spin right. but when i do lincolns, i flip to the left, like left shoulder down. i've never tried rodeos, but when i lincoln, i can almost put a rightside 180 into it, make it less flippy, and land it, which would pretty much be like a rightside rodeo 5. i was wondering if you have a way to help learn to make a rodeo out of it, instead of doing a lincoln with a 1. and also wondering why i can do it rightside but have trouble trying lincolns leftside when that is the natural way i spin. are lincolns a good way to progress to rodeos?

Its messed up like that. I got the same thing going . The thing is all though your setting with your left shoulder going down, your really setting a right side spin. I know, i know, your thinking how could this be. Well in you mind you have made up that a lincoln is a flip, and your wrong its a spin(kinda). So rather then fixing any thing let your lincolns flow that way. But know this setting a left side spin your going to have to drop your right shoulder when setting to the left.
and ya any and all flips a good to learn to progress to flipy spiny tricks like rodeo or misty. And for the simple reason its a mix of adding the right amount of flip and spin together to make a cocktail. Like back flip plus a little spin is D-spin and a bit more spin and less flip is cork. Lincoln x Spin( to the left of course) = underflip . knowing what tricks go with what flips, so if thing go wrong you know how to pull out.
does this help or did i just rant on

no thanks that actually made a lot of sense. its weird i can see the rotation for a rodeo 5 rightside in my head really well too, i just need to get more comfortable in the air so i can control the amount of flip and spin more like you said. thanks. it also makes sense that a lincoln can be seen as a spin, because its really easy to turn into a bunch of different spins depending on how inverted you go, where you pop, etc.
