Limewire in college

my sister was talking to her friend in college and found out that his itunes got erased. the college is calling peolple on the university who downloads from limewire and tells them to delete there downloaded music and if you dont then they delete your entire itunes and next time you put your ipod in your computer you get all music taken off your ipod and off your computer. just wanted to give a heads up to all you in college and i dont know what college her friend goes to sorry.
 
there are plenty of other options and many better options out there. i used to use limewire and torrent occasionally but now i use dirpy

....is that even possible? they can hack into your computer and delete all your files? bullshit. that's pretty far fetched, also, there's actually no way they can possibly rig your computer to delete everything on your ipod when you connect it to your computer, if you have it set to auto sync and your library is empty, then it will delete your shit, but that's your own dumbass fault for using that setting, and it should ask you anyway, this thread is dumb.
 
limewire, torrents, and other p2p sites are usually blocked or will get you kicked off the internet for a certain amount of time at most colleges.

html downloads work, so megaupload and rapidshare are youre good friends here.

its basically to save the university's ass because internet providers can find illegal p2p downloads and then its the university who is at fault.
 
I doubt they can find previously downloaded unless they physically search your computer, but they'll probably see p2p like limewire
 
A. use frost wire much better B. there's no way a college can find that out if it's already on your iTunes and C. that's not legal
 
i heard in some places they take away your internet privaleges if they catch you downloading music illegally
 
quiet douche bag. what she said was relevant to thread, and offered no indication that she did not read, quite the opposite actually. she started off by saying "i heard....illegally"
not only did it contain information that she heard by word of mouth, much like the OP, but it also was talking about punishments to college students for illegally downloading music.
 
who the hell can be expected to read a whole thread for a single response?

actually it had been stated earlier about punishments for downloading music illegally. also obviously she didnt read because who the fuck says "I heard" when they are talking about an above poster.
 
Limewire? Seriously? Who uses that crap anymore. Use torrents, or if you are worried about getting caught there, use a site like mp3boo.
 
Oh yeah OP, ya' think so huh? Maybe you could explain to me how colleges plan on hacking into students' private computers and setting their itunes accounts to automatically delete everything on their ipods?

My opinion: this is just a scare tactic, an empty threat like the concept of Hell.
