I just downloaded Limewire for the first time. The download works fine and uploads everything, but when I try to open to it, it asks for what language I want it in, and it just freezes there...and this happens everytime I try to open it. I have removed it from my comp and downloaded it again and it does the same thing. Some one please help me. Thanks

that sux....anyway, i had limewire and didnt like it much...try ares, that program is pimp compared to limewire.

ares is crap compared to limewire. what o/s are you running? what kinda connection? limewire takes up alot of bandwidth and cpu usage

I like limewire. Never really tried any of the others though

ya thats aproblem with the new version. try and download the INTERNATIONAL version it should work then

So what my problem is that it will not allow me to click on anything once I get to the post installation part. It has already been installed and now I am giving info (ex. Language, location of dl/ed files etc) but the mouse does not click any buttons. I can use tab and go through it, but once I have Limewire actually opened I can't click on menus or click songs to download them. I am only having this problem within Limewire(I have also tried Limewire PRO and it has the exact same problem). Everything else seems fine...Please help.

And if you have any recommendations of other music/dl programs please tell me. I have tried DC++, Soulseek, Bearshare, and Ares (which sucks for finds) but I just do not like the layouts and how they work. PLLEASSE I really need limewire!
 
I think this is pretty useful, just put this into a google search: ?intitle:index.of? mp3

followed by the artist or song name and then the results will be site indexs, then you can right click save as the song you want. Im guessing its pretty illegal, but its useful for getting songs fast.
 
That should be a setting in Limewire you can chage. I'll see if I get around to finding the actual tab, but it should just be under options or the equivilant

 
I already do that, but it does not work well for individual songs. That is what I need, something for just single songs.
 
it just for music that you have limewire, there is a way better downlaoder thing i think the site is something like www.slsk.com , and you can dowload full albums, its way better
