Lightest Backcountry jib ski

I have done some looking around and it seems to be between the night trains, the new lifes, and the colesterone R.C. Have you guys heard of anything that is lighter?

i believe the arg are very light but with the skis you mentioned the jjs might be better suited for you and they are lighter than the arg

Just get the Night Trains....They are sooooo sick ahhh I wish I had $650 to buy them.
Seriously though, Night Trains.

Yeah i have the 07 jj and they were really light, now i am looking for something that is a likke wider under foot and possibly has some rocker. Has anyone tried the Cholesterone R.C? They look ill but the rocker on then is kinda kinked and not continual, and i want the ski to be able to charge still.

Is this kinked rocker good or bad?

Yeah, Moments are notorious for being very light for their size. It's not a jib ski but to give you an idea, the 188 Ruby (140-110-130) weighs 9.0 lbs and the 180 length is 8.5 lbs. 186 Bibby (143-115-134) weighs just over 9.5 lbs so I imagine the 186 Night Train (140-123-135) will be fairly comparable.

Also, it was Powder Mag that said the Night Trains are "scary light."

so are surfaces.
I'd imagine the New Life is none too different from the Night train in weight..

in freeskier magazine in the one before the buyers guide what skis is josh bibby using in the "how to do a shfty 720" and on the cover of the magazine they are moments and they are sooo sick

If your going to get ANY pow skis, look into these, in this order-
1.Atomic benchetler 2. armada jj 3. surface night train 4. any line pow skis, they are all sick

what's with the new life's sym sidecut? like 150-120-150 or something? in a ski that big, would it really matter? probably pretty similar to the volkl chopstick, but maybe softer

LL2s ar a bit lighter than JJs. 189 LL2s are around 9.3lbs, JJs are about 9.5. Night Trains(i THINK) are a tad heavier than JJs. I used to have these numbers for all the big pow jib skis, and LL2s won I think. They are crazy light and have a smart design, and good med-stiff flex. The other one I would throw in and probably the one I would get if I could is the CRJ. No idea on weight.... Good luck.

Bull shit. Chronics are light, about 8.3lbs/pair in a 181. Comis are not 6.3lbs. 192 Comi Kazis are 10.95lbs/pair, so 186 Comis are more than likely over 10lbs. Not saying they are a bad ski or anything, and for a ski that size that is a low weight, but not 2lbs lighter than a shorter skinny park ski.

my comi's are a good 2lbs lighter than my chronics

hahah really? Man its too bad they had to change the LL2's. Sounds like they are a favorite

surface still has the LL2 in the line it has just cchanged names to the one life exact same ski as last year!

scratch steeeeze

no i have no idea if they are the lightest ski but there not bad at all for weight and theyre fuckin fun

Vokl Chopsticks. They rape and are based on a jib ski besides that theyre symetrical and soft. ep pro if you've got money but the chopsticks are only like 360 on untracked (last time i looked anyway)

You missed out on Moment's sale by about a week or two. Donner Parties were $375 which was when I got mine.Maybe email info@momentskis.com and ask them if they have any of last year's left.

Demoed a pair. Never ridden the hellbents before so i wouldnt know but the tip and tail are soft while it is stiff under foot. Super fun buttery and get around great in pow. They are rockered btw
