Lifter question

Is it legit if i just take the lifters off my self? I was thinking that i could just: unscrew the bindings, take of the lifters, use a hacksaw to take off the excess screw, and then fill the holes with either epoxy or wood glue and screw the bindings back on. Would that work or no? Thanks.
 
uhhh, try to score some legit screws, but if you know what you're doin I dont see why that wouldn't work, but what are you talking about that you'd have to fill with epoxy? if you cut the screws right you shouldn't have any excess holes anywhere
 
im not sure epoxy would work seeing as it will probably crack when you put the screws back in, you want something that comes hard but doesnt crack. SOmething just to put the tightness back in the hole.
