Lifted Bindings

Its a racing thing man, lifter allow you to carve much better on skis, you get them in different sizes, depending of FIS standard, but if youre considering lifters for the park, Id tell you to forget about it. theyre also pretty heavy

what bindings do u use??? I dont think a 5mm is that bad.race lifts are much higher... so bindings come mounted on lifters, it depends what brand you ski on

well the guy's lifts are only 5mm, thats not a big deal. What brand and model are your bindings?

yea i was wondering the same thing about my p10s. they have removable lifters, and i dont know whether to mount em with or without

If theyre removable, just try both settings man. With or without. I prefer without, but its all about the skierK's taste. Dont forget thoug, if you want to use both settings, youll need a differtn set of screws

oh ya, and thanks so much for the help. im new to skiing, and its nice for not everyone to be bagin on me. im gonna try lifted, i mite like it.

yeah exactly... Ive worked as a tech for a ski company, and lifters are not necessarly a bad thing, it jsut depends of the skier...

no lift is better as you are closer to the ski hence more control. lift is only good if u want to be doing mad carve turns which u dont on a park ski.

if you don't use the plates that come with them you'll need a short screw kit and the 3mm(?) shims to go under them first.

IMHO do not lift them. you'll get a better feel from being lower + you aren't laying em out like a race ski anyway

I always used looks with a lifter just cause thats what i could find for cheap, and i havent felt hindered in any way. on steap ass down rails i go back seat and eat shit sometimes but i dont know if i would attribute that to the lifter. ive never felt "unstable" with them. is it really that big of a deal?
