How are lift passes this expensive?! I'm supposed to be visiting a friend for three weeks in spring but can't really afford it at the moment. Do they give student passes to non-Canadian uni students?

Are you from the state of washington? if yes you could get an edge card otherwise go with someone who has a season pass cause they can get you 20 percent off, or by the passes at the 7-11 in Squamish because they are like $5 cheeper there

so i get 20% off if i go with someone with a season pass?

ya u should get 20% off unless there is another deal going on at the time for instance i could not give my buddy a discount last weekend cause the day passes are cheeper for early season although i think the 20% off would have been cheeper

bumping this one. If i want to ski for about a month, does this mean i have to buy a season pass? 2grand for a month is very expensive. How is the black market, theres gotta be injured people that wants to get some money back for their seasonpass?

you could try. but lifties are given a decent incentive to catch people using the wrong passes.

ive never been to whis, how are they checking the liftpasses, with the "scan-guns"? while they greet everybody in the liftline like they do in breck for example? Or just regular turncross with a monitor inside?

You walk through the RFID gate and there is a guy stànding with an iPad next to it on which your photo pops up.

If you're in Whistler for three weeks and skiing everyday you could look into getting a 15-day pass. It's grouped with the season's passes rather than edge cards so I don't think it's restricted based on where you're from.

Okey really? Wow its hard to sneak without a pass on bigger resorts. Ill guess i will probably have to pay the 2grand then. I heard something about that u can get a discount if u bring a local or something? Like 10%, have you heard anything about that?

Like I said the $1200 for the 15-day pass is gonna be cheaper than $2000 for a season's pass, even if you get up a few more than 15 days. That said depending by what you mean by spring, spring passes might be available by then.

if you go w/ someone who has a season pass, they can get you 20% off of a day ticket.

Well ive decided to try and stay til 1 of may, so a season pass is all i can do. But did you guys say they have some sort of spring pass? When does it kick in? Cant wait to ski whistler, a dream come true. Hows the park looking? Aprox how many hit can u get in a run, 20?

Just to answer your question about student passes, you have to go to a BC university. Also if you get caught using someone else's pass, it's a $500 fine. The best bet would be an edge card or going with someone who has a pass, good luck bro!

Okey! I Will probably just end up buying a season pass, but about that springpass, is it made-up or something that actually exists?
