Liberty Warranty Issues

I have a pair of liberty Larose's that i snapped directly accross the nose falling on a cork 5 attempt. i have spoken to the guy at samuraidistribution (the people who distribute liberty in teh uk) and he told me that liberty wont warranty skis that are snapped through excessive use. the skis are supposed to have a 3 or 5 year warranty, i brok the skis at the end of jan, after starting skiing on them in mid december. for what i hear liberty used to have brilliant customer service and warranty (i reference this thread, i searchbar'd it!: https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/236126/ ).

has liberty's warranty policy gone sour, or do i actually not have a leg to stand on in this particular case? i am actually not sure what the liberty warranty covers, but i seem to hear great stories about other companies replacing skis no questions asked.

any ideas? thanks.

dude. thats a load of bullshit

thats not excessive use if you snap them on a landing when they didnt stick into the snow or anything, u gotta call again and i donno how old u are but maybe get ur mom or dad to tell em cuz sometimes when kids call they just figure they can get away with shit

i snapped my invaders last year when they got jammed inbetween a rail, so i guess that would be my fault so i didnt care that much i got some libety kgb 170s

def call again and if not you could say u snapped it buttering or sometin, thats what i would do

Try directly e-mailing liberty and telling them whats going. I've always heard of liberty killing it when it comes to warranties. something makes me think it has something to do with the distribution to the uk thing you were talking about. I'd definitely email or call them directly.

Got my stealths warrantied for a pair of hazmats. I emailed them and asked them if they could do it and they more than willing to help me out. I will always buy liberty now.

i had liberties when they were a brand new company. I delammed one on the second day, got it warrantied. Snapped another one in qualifiers at a slopestyle comp, warrantied them, then had the binding rip out of a pair on a misty 5. I was sick of losing ski days so i asked what they could do since they had no skis left to give me. They WROTE ME A CHECK for the amount i bought them for. I'll never ride them again, but they are a badass company. they back their shit. call them or email them directly and i bet they'll help you out

Their quality has increased exponentially in the past few years. I recommend you give them another try.

Always go straight to the source. Distributors and shit always have different economic motivations. Only the company has the real mtivation to help us riders out. Liberty is waayyy tight and totally on top of customer service issues. Like I have a binding pullout (my fault actually) ut they totally hooked me up. Go straight to the source bro, even if you be in UK or whatever.

Distributors and reps can often have that 'can't be arsed' attitude. It's often because they 'can't be arsed' to do the work to get you a new pair of skis. If you go straight to the company, especially those smaller companies who want to make a name for themselves, they will often be more than willing to hook you up.
