Liberty Skis Vid

After further review of that video, the kid says "these skis are about a year old" - ok, so lets take into consideration that we can assume (since the ends were ductaped) that he had been riding them for at least that long (and they hadn't broken yet...or maybe they had!).... Ok, now that that's established, lets look at another stupid aspect of this video. The bindings are obviously off the skis and the skis don't appear to be broken (although they could have already been cracked, which is very possible, because it looked to have snapped both times right below where the mounts would have been)...hence we need to take into consideration that there are going to be binding holes drilled all throughtout the ski, maybe even a few diff. mounts, we just don't know..I mean shit, they didn't even break both skis for us, they could have easily sabataged that video....Taking all that into consideration, I think it's safe to say you can't base any opinion on that video...When my sister was 12, she could have broken the same ski under the same circumstances...hell, ANY ski under those conditions would snap in half

I think Liberty is sick, it's a given that they're skis will have problems because they're like 4 years old I think. The video should be able to be posted because it informs people about the problems with last years stealths. maybe those just had a defect, maybe they were just old and worn, maybe they just are shit and break.. I think the video should stay for people to make thier own conclusions.

dude, no one said the skis were made good...that's why they were RECALLED if you missed the first 50 posts....I mean, jc, you broke a ski that had been skied on correct?, looked like shit and probably had all kinds of problems...even if you didn't sabatage it, it doesn't prove shit to me. It was funny tho, I'll give you that.

I tell you what, just to make this a fair issue, I'll take my old scratch FS's that are 2 years old (only skied on for 1 year), have 1 mounts worth of holes and I'll break them for you, the exact same way, on video...Then you can be as sarcastic as you want.

I can't reproduce that exact scenario then...but I don't see how the tip and tail would delam in 5 days unless you were smashing them on the road or something of that nature. And any ski with mount holes drilled and no bindings is considered "breakable" if you've ever worked in a ski shop...even brand new skis...drilling holes in anything thin like a ski is going to compromise the integrity/stability in the overall structure...

Don't worry tho...I'll still break the scratches for you guys!
 
the tips were delammed after 5 days of normal park use because..ooh my...liberties are horrible skis! wow that one is a shocker...

get off liberty's dick man, just cause they give you free skis doesn't mean they're an awesome company

and the skis still like my asshole, i saw like 8 pairs of those newer ones break, and 2 pairs of KGB's break (those within TWO fucking days)

now seriously...go get some real skis bro.

those certain skis suck as much dick as you but the company is awesome. get a fucking clue alot of skis break and of course they are replaced especially if it was in 2 days like you said. i seriously do not know a better or more helpful company than liberty. this thread should die

2) Liberty is indeed a good company with great customer service

3) Yup, they had a ski that escaped quality control or whatever and it was very very bad

4) the vid was funny (even if it was at Liberty's expense)

5) The Liberty rider has a point, even if biased, that Liberty is trying to help our sport

6) Break your ski -- get a new one in 2 days - pretty good. And yes they have improved greatly.

Now let's all go find an interesting thread!
 
it was a funny video. the first break should NEVER happen. he didnt even try. ive tested flex of a ski like that in a store and i didnt do that. the one where he bent the ski the wrong way doesnt matter, cuzz pretty much an ski would break when bent like that..

but ive seen the newer liberties, and compared to last season, the quality looks way better.

have you ever talked to anyone at liberty? i didn't think so. and i don't really no where your getting the refrencesi mean really, are you going to kill me?

i know FOR A FACT that he has seen, i repeat, SEEN IN REAL LIFE, a 17-inch penis. he looks at it in the mirror every morning.

I delammed a tip on my 05-06 Big Troubles on my first day hitting big kickers, and Dy nastar wouldn't warranty them, even though I work in a shop that carries all their products and I ski full Dynastar/Lange/Look/Kerma. I've fixed them up now so they still ride really well but I won't buy their skis again.

As for cracking noises when you flex a ski, that happens to ALL new skis.
 
Seriously? Weird. I've only had mine since like January, but I ride them harder than any other ski I've owned, and no problems. I've had nothing but good luck with the new ones.
 
I've had last years libertys and this years. I skied the last years choppers for about half a year until the back end completely delamenated. I took the bindings off and the ski had cracked in half in the middle. I emailed liberty and they lket me trade those in for this years stealths. I loved how the choppers skied, except for them breaking they were fucking amazing. Now I have the stealths, and what I can tell they are fuckin bombproof. They dont creak and crack when I bend them and they seem much more sturdy and more well built.

So I dont see how you can talk shit about this company. They admitted to their skis having faults last year, they are now completely changed and they kickass. So if you havent tried skiing on this years dont try and hate on liberty.
