Liberty Larose Review!! from whistler

Simply put, no one skis like the Liberty team. Innovation, dedication and raw

creation made these guys a group that I wanted to be a part of and after

recieving my first pair of 176 laroses and running them through every

possible type of snow condition out here in early season Whistler, such

as, rain, raw boiler plate ice pack, 45+ cms of fresh, hotlaps and chuffy sloppy sluff I

can safely say that these things handle all around. Unbelievably lightweight

and buttery tails keep the park rat and the fraggle rock dropping tree runner

happy and the smooth side cut and easy to find swing weight make the

jumper the bumper and the corderoy lover stoked! I will be getting a pair

of award winning helix's for SURE to deal with the Powder Mountain spring

booter sessions and mini golf pillow lines... 182 sounds about right! Pick

a pair of these up guys, you wont regret anything Liberty is nice enough

to release.

It's so true. People really need to get on the Liberty line-up. Such good quality, customer service, and they are sooooo much fun to shred.

Yeah, the Larose's straight up slay. They are the sickest park ski I've ever been on. Super light and they ski switch amazingly.

yea without a doubt man! what would you guys change about these liberty's if you could change anything? i say a graphic with a little more madness involved would suit me fine! thoughts?

by the way, i posted a review (same as here) in the review section with a nice urban drop shot i got last week!

happy new years guys, hope its dumping where you are!

This is weird as the lengths talked about are wrong; there's no 176; the longest is 178 so what is the 182 mention all about?

I've seen Liberty since tha season it came out. It's grown into an amazing an totally legit company. Tha Hazmats and Helixs are by far some of tha best skis i rode last season (This years models). Props to them for bein' all around legit as hell!

I wish more people would give Liberty a chance on the new skis instead of just rating them on the skis from the 05/06 and 06/07 seasons - you give skiers a chance to get better so why not ski companies!

The Larose is a great park ski which is also fun on the "groomers"

The Hazmat is a success as a "do everything" ski and I know people who actually prefer it for park due to the extra width.

Helix is an awesomely light powder ski which can hold it's own out of the pow.

I skied the DBL Helix for the first time in December and I've never had more fun in powder.

The only ski I haven't used is the Jinx cos I have a penis.

word. liberty has to be the most core, all around freeride to freestyle company out there. hands down the best customer, the best warranty, and they listen to what people have to say about their skis. they are also such a good value. i will never ride anything different.

Hey everybody, thanks for the great words about the skis! It is always good to hear what other people are saying about our product. As always, we are listening to what you are all saying so keep it up!

Thanks!

I have issues with the bamboo sidewalls on my 07/08 Larose's. They are just not durable at all, but I guess that's what you get with bamboo. Other then that, it is a killer ski. I have every model of 09 k2 at my disposal, and I still us my 08 Larose's for pak almost every day. There is something to be said for a ski that weighs nearly nothing. Swing weight is beautiful on these things.

I am ordering mine next week as soon as I send those fucking 171 AR6's back to D-S. I dropped my buddy's Larose 178's off today in Breck. I almost cried.

Yeah bamboo sidewall was an interesting experiment; but in terms of durability it just didn't work; sure there was more energy return from it; but if you started hitting rails with them or had a stack where your skis hit each other hard they wouldn't last long.

But Liberty keeps on learning and listening to the skiers; hence no bamboo sidewall option for the 09s.

I'll hopefully be gettting the 2010 info soon; can't wait.

Just got the DBL Helix 190's!!!!!! heading to colorado to break em in with carl fortin who had a sick shot in the new fresskier!!! will be reviewing those things exstensively when i get back to whistler (spring session whistler... christ... no need for 190s there!)... check the review section in the next few weeks for the waterskis
