Fuck off Andri alias. At least ABM has variation in his skiing. Andri does the same tricks, event after event. I don't know if there is a word for it but some coaches are known to break down a course and monitor what other athletes are doing on features, so that they can basically tell their athletes what tricks will get them the most points. It's pretty frowned upon even in the world of FIS level coaching. Andri basically did the same two tricks, only one of them had a switch takeoff and the other didn't.
A few years ago at x big air aspen, Fabian Bösch did the same trip 16, and both of them counted toward his best three tricks, even though it was explicitly stated that each of the three had to be different. Now I'm not saying this is at all his fault, because there is nothing wrong on trying to improve one of your top three, but the judges at that level should know how to score properly. The judges did not inherently do anything wrong in NZ, and ABM wasn't being salty. He just was hoping that he had scored better, like anyone may have who didn't win, Henrik even said he should've won. It's pretty ignorant to be calling him dumb as fuck for that, and judges DO make mistakes. In a sport based on style with an ever growing trick book, it's really hard to score, compared to something like diving, with a book of tricks with very little wiggle room, and a huge percentage based on the splash you make. Sure, if a skier puts a hand or two to the ground, it probably did not have as clean of a landing as someone who landed hands in the pockets.
