Lexan thickness

No, I think I've seen 1/16" used before, so that should be fine.

.118" was the thinest and cheapest lexan i could find online i just wanted to double check before i made an investment

why use lexan when you van get UHMWPE for way less, and it has a lower coeeficient of friction.

^i knew what you were talking about until you said "lower coefficient of friction".

Does that mean it slides better?

UHMW slides really well, thats what i used. you need .25" though... so it gets pretty expensive. I've worked some with acrylic, which is good as long as you have metal edges, but its harder to countersink. The metal edges are really important, to keep you from tearing up the plastic and making it slide better. Thats my summer project... metal edges and some new rails.

Friction = Coefficient of friction X Normal(weight)

So yes, lower coefficient of friction means less friction and more slide.
