yo all

ordering new gear for the winter from backcountry and backcountry outlet and wondering what goggles to get.

i wanted some crowbars but backcountry can't ship oakley products overseas. (australia).

i was looking at spy and scott, mostly spy now. the targa 2's are real cheap but heard they are real crap, so now torn between the Zed and Soldier. what is NS's opinion on spy goggles. or are there any other brands i should look at on backcountry?

+K for info and past experiences.

cheers.

i love my soldiers

my brothers has zeds and the lens is pretty scratched, but they have seen 100+ days and he still loves them

soldiers are spherical

zeds are not

both are good choices for comfortable/affordable goggles

I don't really buy anything but Oakley but if you wanted something like a crowbar get EG2's they are pretty legit if you can't buy Oakley.
Dunno if they are on BC though.

Don't get Targa II's, there is a reason they're cheap.

I have the Zeds - they are a good non-spherical lens goggle, they're pretty comfortable and the lens is very clear. I've heard nothing but good things about the Soiders too. If you want spherical lens go with Soilders, if not go with Zeds, that's probably the easiest way to put it.

By the way - Crowbars have spherical lenses, if that helps.

Scott Fix. Hands down best goggle ive had yet, better than the numerous pairs of crowbars and other goggles ive had over the years.

Im pretty interested in the fixes too. They look pretty rad and are getting some solid reviews. Way better price point than the crowbars too...

i just picked up the orange/black fixes from my shop yesterday and couldnt be happier, they fit my face well and look sick and arent $130.

to the op. i have zeds and really like them, more so than any of my 4 cbars, at least in terms of function

i ended up going with the Zed's, they were cheaper, came with w spare lenses and look like they fit helmets better. the soldiers are sick tho and will be looking to get a pair soon.

and to those who have the scott fix, they are what i originally wanted, but having to ship this from the US to Aus i kept it at the one place and backcountry dont have the fix. sick goggles tho.
