Lets talk about Mexican immigrants... This could spark some debate or upset people on views

These are my views and issues with Mexicans that are currently changing my life.

The influx of legal, and illegal Mexicans into this country is ruining it. Especially in the inter-mountain West where I have lived past 6+ years. I will start of by saying I am pretty racist and have no issues with it...mainly just towards Mexicans/Hispanics.

I will be selling my first home because of this. The blow up of both legal and illegal Mexicans in my area has forced me to move.

- I no longer feel safe in my area

- I am singled out as the random white minority

- I have ongoing issues around my place with loud unsupervised children, parents who don't care, over occupancy of homes and condos, vandalism, loitering, clutter and garbage, vehicle work and whatnot on streets and parking lots, other misc issues.

Have dealt with the cops on a few occasions. They are super helpful and get it. Do what they can, but most of the time they have their limits and can only do so much.

Issues I've had...

- windows egged and broken with rocks. Cops called. Caught Mexican kids.

- Over-occupancy of residents. Condo across from me was was 3 bedroom with 10 living in it. I got them all evicted.

- Condo below me was selling drugs. Called task force. Place got raided.

- Mexicans working on cars in the parking lot. Decreasing my home value. HOA fined them. Since that, HOA has been Mexican, I get shafted non stop now.

I am not liked around my place. I am paying my hard earned tax money to support these people. Half are not here legal (ones I booted from condo were ileagle)

So its come to sell my home, that I paid for, because of them

I would love to hear some debate, or talk or reaction, or whatever. Good or bad, I can handle or debate with the best.

OP...I feel bad for you and hope it all works out.

I am on a very similar page as you. Many would consider me racist, especially towards the illegals; but I think I am a REALIST. Which is what most people won't admit.

I have seen towns around my area decrease massively in price. A school district next to mine near where I grew up ( an extremely wealthy town outside of NYC) now has one of the worst schools in the county because of the massive influx of illegals to that town. They loiter, don't pay taxes, demand free healthcare, freebies, etc. and generally leach off us hard working tax payers and Im sick of them. Not to mention their section of town looks like little mexico...it truly is disgusting but they can't do anything about it. A notorious illegal area near where I used to go to college was recently busted twice. Once for 2 houses of illegals (roughly 20 each living inside) and another for a massive drug operation.

I have a friend whos in med school and worked at that hospital in that town. The illegals used to come in EVERY DAY and complain about stomach aches, head aches...minor issues. He would legally have to give them asperin or whatever medicine they wanted and they waltzed out the door like it was no big deal.

I'm all for immigration and coming to the greatest country on earth, the USA. There is a ton of opportunity if you play your cards right. I have seen it first hand. Grew up in a family with very little money and was always extremely jealous of everyone around me. I worked hard, paid for my own college, etc and now do better than most people out there.

If the illegals want to come here...they need to do it LEGALLY. We will welcome you with open arms. Until then...i will continue to look down upon these CRIMINAL INVADERS who come here looking for a free handout and a ride through life on tax payers dollars. It sickens me to know that these people DEMAND drivers license, health care, soon potentially social security...the list goes on. Hopefully we have a competent leader in the White House in the near future who can control this disaster; because our current President isn't doing a dam thing. Same thing is happening in Europe with the Muslims as well.

I feel the legal ones are almost just as bad. I get it, they come from shit looking for better, but just because you got here, got the green card, and pay taxes doesnt mean you run the place and can do what you want.

Not to mention both legal and illegal are taking jobs at low rates, housing at low rates, and those low to middle class Americans now cant find work or housing. Now everyone wants $15/hr for work because cheap housing is gone and the Mexican counterpart is happy with $10/hr and no workimg papers

My first job I worked mostly with migrants. Honestly they were chill, and all respectful, and work their asses off for what they have. Idk must be different there.

Pretty neutral on this but I've never entirely looked into it. Pretty interested in reading some opinions though.

My father is a contractor and has hired legal Mexican immigrants. They're probably the hardest workers my dad ever hired and never asked for much. I know people bitch and moan that they are taking American jobs, but honestly some of them are willing to do the jobs some Americans aren't. But I've never been affected by them so I don't really have an opinion.

I'm an immigrant too. Moved here from Italy when I was 2 years old. There's not much difference between me and a Mexican immigrant. As long as you come here legally, I don't have an issue with it.
 
OP I get where you are coming from and I feel for you, but try to have a little empathy for them.

My teacher worked at a hospital in Juarez, and he always told us stories about how poor the people are. They would make 5$ a day, by working in the city dump. They also lived in shacks inside the dump. They all had contracted tuberculosis as a result. Their weekly grocery supply only lasted them 3 days, before they resorted to eating garbage. Living in America, working for minimum wage, and living in a small apartment is equivalent to being a king compared to their home country.

Partially true. The illegals don't really lower wages for most jobs. Just unskilled labor. And the $15 dollar minimum wage is absolutely bullshit. Look at what its doing to business's where they have put that in place. Many are closing shop or moving. Or simply doing what everyone said they would do...decrease hours or cut workers. I think minimum wage should be raised a bit but 15 is just ridiculous.

Any fully grown adult working at minimum wage has failed. Minimum wage was designed for teenagers as some extra cash.

I work in the banking industry. Just one example of how to deal with these illegal invaders. Simply out earn, and out work them. In banking, illegals couldn't even get a job cleaning toilets if they wanted. And due to my education and job, I can afford to live in a much nicer area where we simply out price the illegals. They could never afford to live in the area I live in.

The school district next to us where I grew up was a similar situation. Our school was 99.9999% white kids who were very well off. The illegals couldnt survive in our town for 2 reasons...prices was to high and you needed a car since their isn't public transportation. Due to that...the next town over was illegal central. The school district is a nightmare and anyone with any form of money has moved/sent their kids to private schools.

The illegals are nothing but bad news for most.
 
i don't think any of them here illegally want to be here illegally, why don't we make it easier for them to become citizens?

then for sure they will have to pay taxes (if that's the problem), even though most have to use fake docs to fill out an i-9 at any legit job, which means the govt gets tax money anyways. if they're not filing taxes they won't get their returns because they won't claim exemptions, so prob more money for the gov't there too...

As far as my opinion. I agree with amnesty for those who are here, and stronger presence to deter illegal immigration... I don't think we should put up a fence, but we should definitely find some way to stop fucking over Mexico, or something...

How about send in the military drones on the shitty cartels for once... And stop giving Mexico more god damn guns? Maybe also start sending more outsourced manufacturing jobs to Mexico and latin america rather than continually sending them to China? (we'd save SO much on shipping costs alone if we promoted this...)

Only because we completely allowed that situation to happen.

Pretty soon though, China will begin to change, and the command economy they have will start to falter. The rapid globalization they have got going on is only going to allowed more ideas to seed those minds. Not to mention the shitty pollution issues and insane over-development in certain areas will likely begin to take it's toll on the government's ability to control it's massive populace.

At that point, things will open up. Africa and Latin America (or other poorer areas in southeast Asia) will take that torch from the PRC.

Very possibly... but we've been more interested in outsourcing our service jobs to them rather than manufacturing.

Also, their economy is growing quite rapidly as well. India also is growing populationwise- far faster than China... and doesn't have that instituted 1-child policy (which, for those of you who are vehemently anti-overpopulation.. probably your favourite idea ever.) Meanwhile, India, Pakistan, Nigeria... they're all bunkin each other left and right like it's their job. Kinda crazy. The bridge will break eventually... probably ebola.
 
My god, I'd be careful if I were you. You'll have the gangs, cartels, and chop shops all coming for you. If you want to help the problem then go contribute to the Mexican economy (which is improving) in some way or go build a bigger fence.

I also take serious issue with the idea that any fully grown adult working minimum wage has failed. How much of America is dependent on people working minimum wage jobs? Every fast food restaraunt? Every dish washer in every other restaraunt? Every store you buy stuff at every day? Every gas station? I might be wrong, but I have a sneaking suspicion that there aren't enough teens out there to fill those jobs, especially when you factor school in there. Even if school wasn't a factor, let's be honest here. The modern American teenager thinks they are too good to work a minimum wage job and looks for work elsewhere.

Not everyone has the physical or mental health, economic security, social stability, educational background or whatever other means necessary to get out of a minimum wage job.

As a Canadian, I don't really know what to think of (or care about) the illegal immigrant situation, but just remember that you have the ability to sell the home you own and move someplace better. Be thankful 'someplace better' doesn't involve leaving friends and family to go start life over by sneaking into a country where you don't speak the language and don't have the ability to work (legally).

If you want to generalize about an entire race/population then okay but it doesn't make you right.

Mexicans literally do every shit job we don't want and in park city they run every kitchen, including the most high end expensive restaurants. They have some insane work ethic and yes some annoy cultural things but why don't you just live somewhere that doesn't have Mexicans? The area you describe sounds like somewhere around SLC or PC where the entire complex are Mexicans correct? Fuckin move dude I live in an apt complex in park city and there are zero Mexicans and the 15-20 surrounding complexes have very very little mexican population its not that hard to find a place thats not 'little mexico' as they say in PC.

The blow up of whites enamored to any moronic idea that passes through their brain in my area would force me to move but I don't think I'll ever be able to get away

- I no longer feel safe having a legitimate conversation

- I am singled out as the contradicting view

- I have ongoing issues around my place with loud unsupervised (figurative)children, people who don't care, have no concern for those around them, and those who would rather hole themselves up in a cesspool of their own bad ideas than consider anything that goes against their worldview

Sorry you have shitty neighbors, but the issues you describe are those prevalent in any impoverished area. There are plenty of black kids willing to throw bricks through windows and there are plenty of white people busted for selling drugs out of their apartment.

Instead of generalizing and hating on an entire race because of the color of your bad neighbors you might direct that hate towards the U.S. government and the way it has failed on a vast amount of social issues.

But we're all here just to blow off some steam, right?
 
I think that it's pretty fucked that it's very difficult to obtain even a temporary work visa for a lot of people, real tough for a long term yet some people are fine with that but want the government to be super duper nice to illegal immigrants.

There's also really not much to deter people from coming over. I mean there's some pretty bad shit that happens in some of those countries on the way up because people are somewhat helpless at that point, but in terms of getting to the US, if you fail nbd, better luck next time.

I don't like people who go to a country and make 0 effort to learn the language. There's all the people going "blah blah english isn't really the official language". Almost everyone speaks it, it's kind of the language. If I were moving to a new country I would go for it, I'd probably suck at it for a while, but anythings better than the people who have been here for years and refuse to even try. (Same sentiment around the world even for people from here in other countries)

In terms of mexican immigrants as a whole I have no problems to the point of generalized hates. It's all good. Some shitty people, some good people, just like anyone else.

Insert any nationality and the time period when they migrated and you are just repeating problems since the beginning of our country. Our land was built on immigrants.

well if I remember my sociology class correctly in 2050 the white people will become the minority in this country. however, I think we're already seeing the shift from race to wealth status. And I can see how some people are scared about there race being small and forgotten. but at this point we should be more concerned about how our government spends our money does that cost way more than illegal immigrants coming over here. and at the end of the day most of us are middle to upper middle white people in America, we all have done pretty well for ourselves.

yeah we may be middle to upper class but my Sicilian Grandfather worked 100x harder than I ever will to make it that way. I see mexicans doing the same thing my grandfather did. Even people with immigrant grandparents forget these facts.
