yeah, I don't do rails either. I'm not saying that I've never done them, I'd just rather hit a jump instead, or if that's not an option, I'd rather rip a groomer than do rails. to each their own.
I do hit plenty of rocks though.

the very tips of my tails on my old STLs are so worn from buttering/leaning back to stay afloat in shallow powder or during icy/rocky spring that the edges have simply disappeared and left about a centimeter gap on both skis...
it's only a matter of time before the remaining edge snags on something and pulls out all the way around my ski...they've had a good run though
it's funny though, my new moments show progressive thinking, obviously the people at moment realized this would eventually happen to everyone and that edges all the way around are pointless, so the tips and tails dont even have them...
