I'd be really stoked if I could search for more than 50 things at a time. Searching for "soundtrack" only got me back to mid-2007 threads; I was looking for something back in the '02-'03 time frame. Granted I could refine the search, but I was in the mood to browse the soundtrack threads, not really nail down to a specific movie.

What's the deal with the 50 result limit?
 
what if u added 02 to the end of soundtrack when you search. you might get something
 
The searchbar only searches the thread title, not years. I think that a better searchbar was on the list of things to do, but it might not be until a while.
 
its a good idea...like if you could select the years you want to search since its like almost been 10 years
 
The search bar definitely needs to be refined. It is tough to find things unless you know the exact phrase (at least partial) that was used in the titled. Obviously searching cults is something that also needs to be added.
 
i asked before but what happened to internal google searches? doug was talking about it way back.
 
i would veto that idea; there's some inactive cults that I would REALLY like to see stick around, whether they're active or not. just for the memories even.
 
I just use the Google Advanced Search when I wanna do an indepth search of NS. Just go to Advanced Options at Google and under website put www.newschoolers.com

Then it google searches only NS. Its not perfect but sometimes it works better then the NS searchbar
 
I think they meant more of the cults that only contain 2-15 people that just sit there. Have you seen how many cults there are with very very very few members that were made on a whim that were never successful? Those cults should be gone.
 
yea thats what i was thinking too. there are a bunch of inactive cults that still have tons of useful info. its the failures we want gone
 
This has been a request for a number of years, and hasn't been changed, which has always led me to believe that changing the search function is a really really difficult task. Does anybody have any experience web/forum/search programming that could confirm the difficulty of changing the search abilities?
