In SUMMER, who has the best public park , tignes or les 2 alpes

give some information on the public park

 
I've been to both, but that was like 8 years ago when they didnt have parks......... I liked Tignes better

Les Deux alpes is sooo sick. 2 pipes, lots of rails, a good medium sized jump line, a huge hip, big jumps, real good. go there.

I would have to say Les 2 Alpes. the skiing is better in Tignes in General but les 2 Alpes has the best park in Europe. I've only seen Tignes in the Winter briefly but ive skied Les 2 Alpes in the Summer and Winter at its far superior. Check the Websites and comp list. Comps go to the sickest places so check where has more big comps

2 alpes is better...but both are hella busy.

try zermatt or saas fee in Switzerland instead - still cool parks, easier to lap though with less waiting around

Last summer went to Tignes 4 week then 2alpes 4 week.

Tignes-

Snow-Bad. park faces south.

Rails-alright

Jumps-very average

Pipe-Good but small

Nightlife/other stuff 2 do-Good for a chill by the campfire, bad 4 the lash up.

Les2alpes

Snow-Good 4 the summer

Rails-Excellent

Jumps-Excellent

Pipe-The superpipe is HUGE and 1 of the best i've ever ridden.

Nightlife/other stuff 2 do-Tres bien! good lash up. Golf,swimming,tennis all included on the 6 day pass.

Overall both busy but the standard of rider in Tignes was less so if you wanted to hit up the bigger obstacles it wasn't that busy.

Les2alpes was busy and some SERIOUSLY godd riders there.

Go to les2alpes unless your just starting out.
 
The bars in L2A are brilliant. Hanging pots of fire and pole dancing, what! Half the club dancing on the tables... Plus the town itself is quite flat and in a straight line, very important for the stumble home!

Never been in summer, but there were some huge kickass jumps when I was there for the Brits / BUSC.
 
ya, i've hit tignes in the summer-after end of june, snow's shite. l2a is better bet. in winter its a different story tho.
 
yeah been to 2 alpes in winter and done a season in val'd'isere.

not being funny bit i honestly thought 2 alpes winter was whack.

La grave=OVERRATED.

defo some good terrain but you gotta get there EARLY to get fresh and i don't wanna fall down a crevase just to ski someone elses tracks.

Gimme a 15 minutes "le signal" ball buster draglift and a hike into le fornet bowel or pisteurs couloir ANYDAY.
 
have you actually ridden the couloir des pisteurs?? i've always wanted to...

the gd vallon area at top of signal lift is sick. i like the hike left along ridge and ski back down towards bottom of lift.
 
La Grave is overrated ?

i've skied there for the last couple of years and theres just so much terrain that i still havent skied everything i want. ok the main route down is tracked out pretty fast, but there is so much other stuff, the colours over the lac de puyvachier or the routes over the glacier du rateau and over the glacier de la meije. and la grave has always a nice vibe in town. Just a bunch a ski bums comming together and enjoying life.
 
I'm from France, and I confirm Les 2 Alpes is much better than Tignes in Summer, especially if you're looking for a huge park!
