Lens: New vs. Refurbished

Is it worth saving the extra 100 dollars to buy a refurbished Tamron 10-24, or getting a new one?

Even better, is there any nicer lenses that are worth similar?

Any help would be great!

Buying used or referb definitely can be good deals, where is it refurbed from?

I always try to buy refurb. All three of the camera's and a few of my lenses have been refurb and I have never had a problem. Some refurb's have equal or sometimes even better warranties then the brand new version.
