Okay so just a quick question NS. I'm looking at getting a Canon 60D for both filming and photography.

So what i would like to know is what lens you would recommend as a all around lens that will be great for both video and photos. I have done some research of my own, but i am no where near an expert for knowing the best type of lens.

I do have experience with filming and photography, so I am not a beginner that's for sure.

So after doing some research i found this lens

thoughts on that lens for both film and photo?

Thanks

Colby

Yes, please tell us your budget. You can get a lot nicer lens than the tamron 17-50 if you can spend more.

I forgot my budget, sorry about that. and like 500-1000$ for the lens. i just want a solid all around lens

Tamron 17-50f/2.8

or if you don't really need that wide angle then look into the canon 24-70 f/2.8L or Canon 24-105 f/4L IS

a used 24-105 L for sure

that being said, the tamron 17-50 NON VC is awesome too, i absolutely love mine, but if you have the cash, definitely pick up a used 24-105.
