I like sports experts, but only the shop. The actual store sucks. But the techs there are super cool chill dudes, and real cheap too. One day they gave me a px 12 break for 5 dollars.

Yeah, Johnny White is the best tech I know of around Banff or Canmore. He kills it. I don't think he is working there anymore though so don't expect the same out of the shop.

There are no legit ski stores in Banff or Canmore. None. They're all awful.
 
I respect your opinion, but Mike at Unltd is among the best in Canada. Used to be the tech for the Canadian alpine team.
 
No, but the tech who rents their basement space is. I'm pretty sure its a seperate business. Eitherway he really knows his stuff, with credentials to back it up.
 
I'd take it to Wilson's in Lake Louise. Take them to Rob... It's worth the drive, I take my stuff from Golden to Lake Louise
 
Dude that place is the worst. I Bought some hiking boots there last summer and they broke the first time i took them out. it was a month before I had them replaced as they had to be sent out to be fixed. I never go in there anymore.

Monods on the other hand, I visit quite frequently. They have a wide selection of skis and gear. It leans more toward big mountain and Back country though.
