i would stay away from hard drive based cameras.

get a used hv20.

B&H Photo has HV30's on sale for $540 + 80 if you want a no questions asked crash replacement plan. Just got that setup. Sooooooo sick. If your lookin to get clips of your cat or family its not worth it but if your filming skiing to edit it is

yea if u no ur gonna break it u should not even bother with a new one and get the cheapest one possible
