same with up here in ontario, except you havbe to take drivers ed to get your license in 8 moniths , if you dont take drivers ed you have to wait till your 17.

in british columbia you get your Learners license when your 16 and your New drivers license when your 17. you dont get your full license until your 19.

I think it should be 18. i didnt get mine until 17 and I could have got it at 16. Kids should not be driving, most (not all) are too reckless and think its cool to race and go fast and dont know how to control the car. There are more teen deaths in CO then anything else (driving wise)

yeah we montanans can get a permit at 14 and a half and license at 15. doppppe, got mine and i'm 5 feet tall. i get pulled over all the time

In denmark when you turn 18, you pay about 2000 $ take 6 months of classes, then take a driving test, and a paper test (or whatever its called)if you fail any of those tests you have to pay extra take more lessons and then take the test again, soo gay

NY

permit at 16, written test

Juniors- 6 months after you get your permit, road test - can't drive after nine without an adult

Full license - 18 UNLESS you take drivers ed, then you get it at 17. but mostly everyone takes drivers ed

The license at 16 is a GDL, so you have to have a 0% blood alcohol level(even if you're 18), and you only have 8 points I think to lose before they suspend your license. At 18 you get the real license where you can have like a 0.06 bac before you can't drive and you have 15 points to lose instead of 8.

16, you get your learners. 18 you get a restricted license (1 passenger) 20 you get a little less restricitons, 21 you get your full license.

I love live free or die new hampshire...
at 15.5 you can drive with a parent....all you need is a birth certificate16 you get your license with 5 weeks of drivers ed

New York

Permit: 16

limited license (school, work, and doctors): after 20 hours of driving and taking your 5-hour or drivers ed

restricted license (2 passengers that arent immediate family, cant drive between 9pm and 5am, unless work): at 16.5

17: full license if you took drivers ed

18: full license if you didnt take drivers ed

bc

learners - 16

noob - 17

full - 19

but their making it so you have to have your learners till your 18.

Nobody from NJ sooo...

16-16.5 for permit, 6 months from getting your permit to getting your PROVISIONAL license which is 1 non-family passenger, have to be in 12AM - 5 AM,

18 Unrestricted.

And they're trying to pass some bullshit law where you can't get your full license til 21, reduce the curfew to 11-6 and some other really really dumb shit, like a sticker on your car to say you're under 21. New Jersey is so retarded.

new jersey is fucked... permit at 16 with 6 hours behind the wheel with a driving instructor and can only drive with a parent before 11:00pm. jr license at 17 if you have had your permit for 6 months, but you start with like 4 points on your license and cant drive after 12am. full license at 18. ohh and drivers ed classes are almost mandatory if you dont want to go into the written test blindly.
but even with all the restrictions and shit, nj still has the worst drivers in the country because our actual driving test is the easiest thing in the world. you go on a closed course, parallel park, k turn, and make like 3 left turns at 5mph with no traffic and you pass. Its like 1 minute long. NJ makes no sense to me...

illinois you get your permit at 15 but have to have like 100 hours behind the wheel (i did like 20) and then when you turn 16 and have all the requirement shit done you can get it

From what I remember, you get your permit at 15 or 15.5, have to drive with a relative 18 or older in the passenger seat until 16 and a month, when you can then take your tests to get your full license, which is considered temporary until 16 and a half or something. This is for Indiana by the way, and it might be wrong, this was like 8 years ago...

no...

anywho in Minnesota you can get your learners permit at 15 after taking classroom drivers ed. then you have behind the wheel drivers ed. i wanna say 9 hours of driving. then at 16 you are set to go. but there are restrictions. i wanna say only one or two passengers. but i dont know, being 19 the rules dont apply :)

Now its 16.

You used to be able to get your license at 14.5 if you lived out of town or had a legitimate reason to need to drive.

in new mexico you get your permit at 15 and lisence at 15.5.

they need to change that, the last thing we need is a bunch of highschool freshmen driving around like jackasses.

i think the new thing to have your L for 2 years is so fucking gay. im glad i got mine before that happened.

Pennsylvania:

16 you can take your learners permit test(written computerized exam). must drive w/ parent/guardian/etc for 6 months

16.5 you can take your road test and obtain your junior driver's license. (only restricition is a curfew of 11pm) which is the only restriction i can recall

17.5/18 senior license (17.5 if no accidents/traffic violations/etc.)

they are or did pass a new law that you have to wait a year instead of six months after you obtain your learners permit to take your road test for your junior license(1994 birthdays and after).

In the fucked up state of Massachusetts you need to be 16 for your permit and 16.5 for your license. That isn't too bad but i think u should be able to get your permit at 15.5. MA's laws for driving age arent bad but i don't like this place so much.

15 for a permit if you're in Driver's Ed

15.5 for a permit otherwise

16 for a license

and then you can only have your family in the car for 6 months, then only two additional non-family members for the next 6 months. unrestricted driving at 17. messed up WA.

I would if I had the time, but most of NS is probably too lazy. It's cool, and I'd love to, but I haven't got the time right now. Hell, I haven't got the time to write this post!

UTAH
15 permit16 license
if you can prove to the state that you have a farm or ranch then you can have a license at 14.
fuckin legit.

in NV you get your license at 16 permit at 15.5 but theres some rule if you live more than 35 miles from where you go to school you can get a license at 14.
