Left, Right, a double flip and rails to make you cum.

I saw him ripping it last wednesday at telluride. Good skiing. Start throwing that stuff in the BC thats right up the road.

why doesnt he do xgames? every single one of those rail tricks was better then anything pulled in slopestyle on the rails. well, maby favre if he would have landed. and he looked like he can hold up just fine in the air as well.

that being said, is this guy sponsored?? didnt look like it.

dude i think you have a little something on the end of your nose, it looks a little brown to me..

this kid slayed like hell! AMAZING!

why wont this work for me? i see no video at all. and no loading or anything.

please if this is as godly and inhuman as you do so say, show me this video.

Negative, just saying the truth. Tom not only slayed park rails harder, but he could do alot of his park rail tricks on urbans. And now its unbelievable.

Also to whoever said he was above tom, your are mistaken. Tom gets better at skiing every day he goes out, he is just straight absurd sometimes.

not only did this vid slay the park, but it was in ONE DAY! that's why it is so impressive. Also the fact that Gus is 16 when wallisch is what 19/20? Wallisch is super dope and I know gus thinks so too. But just imagine what Augustus will be doing in a few years. both are so dope and have their own unique styles. I believe they are friends too or at least know each other. and that rail line...wow

He did like 5 right 7s and 5 left 9s, couple of switch 7s, and a kangaroo on possibly the smallest jump ive ever seen one done on. Along with some pretzels, a few 6 and 4s off, etc. Tom filmed his superunknown in like 6 different days, like two at pc, two at aspen, and like two doing urban and there were barely any doubles of tricks the whole time and it was 6 mins long. I know a few kids here at PC who could film for one day and if they had a good day and got their tricks they would have just as many tricks, the filming in one day claim is kind of dumb.

He's got some skill for sure, his style could be better on jumps but whos couldn't having good style on jumps is fuck hard. He will probably be going places since he's only 16 but people saying he's better than tom incorrect, and saying hes the next tom is a little early.

The kid can jib and spin, no question. I really respect being able to do things both ways like that.

I want to see larger jumps, just because everything won't have to be so fast.

Sick skiing though.

people in his other vid complained of no right side so thats why there was so much. as to when you said he's got "some skill," thats just stupid. the kid obviously kills it and is gonna blow up soon. so many people would kill to be this good.

I just was saying he did the same like 4 tricks and people were like OMG ONE DAY and he just did for tricks, thats the only reason i was talking about his tricks. When i said some skill i didnt mean like "oh hes ok" i meant more like "oh damn hes decent". The skill scale is like none-kinda-little bit-some-alot.

wow i cant believe people are comparing gus to wallisch. Gus throws down hard, and this one of the best edits i have prob seen so far this year, but wallisch style and tech is unbelievable and i have yet to see any skiier to compare to it. But that was still one impressive edit, esp for him only being 16....

too late now to embed?

i dont know if he's thrown a kang or not. but in the European Open i think in the article it states that he threw a cork 7 to backflip or something like that. But im pretty sure Wallisch can do double inversions

that was so sick, not better than tom, but you've still got to respect him, hes an amazing skier.

Btw, anyone know know song?

the right side spins were very nice, thats gotta come naturally to him. the vid would still be more impressive shorter though, didnt really heat up until the 2nd half.

I thought that was amazing, and i wish that i could ski park that well, but if i could make one major criticism, and this isnt just isolated to this edit, its that Gus seems to ski with a lack of fluidity between features.

i think one of the biggest changes we will see over the next few years is the complete extinctintion of guys landing off a jump or rail forward/switch, and switching to switch/forward.

In particular, Gus seemed to land switch a few times then quickly get into a regular stance. show you can ski no switch just as well as regular, it will add to style and smoothness, and prove you can ski anything and everything, forward and switch.

when this is mastered i rekon this guy could be a real player in the ski industry

if it weren't for lack of urban, i would take that video over tom wallisch's superunknown ANY DAY.

After the first 30 seconds all I can say is

EWWWWWWWWWWWW

like wowwwwwwww..

he can doa bunch of stock tricks with ugly as heck style and a horrific outfit.

Omg IM SO STOKED ON SKIING OMGOMGOMG

jesus christ people. when will you learn that skiing shouldn't be about being a robot. Skiing can be art. instead of doing the same boring tricks with the same old style which was never even exciting in the first place, how about you bring something to it!

PS: there were like 3 cool tricks in that video.

how about YOU bring something to it. i sense a lot of frustration. is it jealousy? most likely.

its sad that some people can criticize someone for being exceedingly talented at what the love to do. he is young and has much room to grow. people criticize so harshly and with such ignorance.

its one thing to criticize on the internet but, with out a doubt,

if you saw skiing of this caliber in person you would be all over it.

you just loveee to hate, i remember back in the brogan thread you did the same thing. You are entitled to your opinion but how is he being a robot? That is what hes doing and obviouslly he enjoys it. For those that say his style is ugly your so wrong. he maybe winds up quite a bit but he is so calm on rails and in the air with various grabs and his landings are so clean. If anything his rails seems not to stylish because they are so small for the trick he is doing on them.

sick edit, and good rider.

if I saw this skiing in person I would shout at him:

"ROBOTRON", "LEARN TO SKI", "SPIN TO WIN"... etc.

I would laugh at him with my friends, and then I would ski and do shit that I think is much sicker than anything he did in that video.

I am NOT, NOT NOT NOT jealous of this skier.

If I watched footage of myself and it looked like that I would seriously reconsider my skiing.

Hey. This is Gus.  I am not trying to make a claim that it I am better than Wallisch, because I don't think I am.  I know Wallisch from Aspen Open, NAO, and a few other events, and I don't think that he thinks I am trying to one-up him.  My friend Simon just told me about this thread, and I read it, and it sounds like you don't like the way I ski, and that you have some good criticism.  Here's what I will do.  You tell me what tricks you want to see me do, what grabs, and I will go out and film this weekend, try and do everything you think would make my edit better, and then I will put a new edit on newschoolers next monday or so.  Telluride has small jumps, so I agree my kangroo was hucked, but if you  want to give me some suggesstions I will try and "fix" what I am doing wrong.

P.S. I look up to Tom Wallisch.

Are you serious? I like really, are you? I find that to be a ridiculous statement. No offense to gus or his skiing in any way, because gus as ive said it before you are good, you have skill, you are going places. But tom is tom. Saying that this video would beat his super unknown is like saying a giant robot would lose in a fight against a 2 year old kid. Doing better than toms super unknown seems impossible to me, it was so well done, so perfect, i cant see anyone doing it better.

I wanna see all you haters post some tricks and then eat your words.

Sick edit btw, and your JOSS entry was amazing as well. I thought it

was definitively worth a tripe to Are. Don't let the haters get to you
